I really hate this inflated proveout offer business, it's one thing I wish they could change. The offer has never doubled after a disappearing £100k! At least in this case the £40k was irrelevant as it would have been more an a £250k/£3k finish - that wouldn't have been £80k but it wouldn't have been proportionally as far away as the £40k!

What they really need is for someone to have said "No it wouldn't have been £40k, Elizabeth was only offered that with the £100k remaining as well", or "Rachael was only offered £30k with better reds as back-up". Or Gaz to have said "No way would he have offered more than twice as much as Fadil was with the same boxes".

I think of everyone who's been on, only Aaron's ever done it! :)

But I think a £20k offer at the 8-box stage with the top two and not much else was definitely worth taking, the first £20k offer was very generous indeed!

I expect they generally edit that out!

To be fair it hasn't been as bad recently, and the majority of them now are realistic, or only slightly on the high side of realistic. But that 5-box offer yesterday was one of the most inflated I've seen.

Hmm - I'd have thought it was more of a "forgetting about past games when you're sat in the chair in the heat of the moment" scenario, rather than editing it out.

I think that only very calm people with mathematical brains like Aaron and the original Trevor would be very good at remembering offers and boards in past games. I'm looking forward to Ned's game for that exact reason! :)

Anyway, I forgot to say that I'm really happy that Tony won a good amount, it was obviously very important to him and his wife, and the decision to deal when he did had more chance of it paying off than not. :)
