Awwwww- that was a real shame. :( I really wanted Barbara to do well, but luck just wasn't on her side. It's not a good start to the week, having someone else join the £1 club. I just hope tomorrow's contestant gives the Banker what for!

:D

I didn't really notice her when she was opening boxes but still sad to hear that she went away with a pound.

:( Unfortunately I'm going to miss the next two weeks of Deal Or No Deal because of work experience. I don't know how I'm going to live. :P

Horrible episode - I really liked Barbara, and I think she was totally right to go on at the end (well, obviously not now we know what happened), as the offer was nowhere near as high as it should have been.

Noel handled that well I thought - it might have just been edited that way, but once it was down to £1 and £10 he seemed to rush through it so Barbara could get it over with, which was good.

It did feel quite similar to Trevor's game, and in the same way Noel didn't drag it out. He seems to know the right way to handle the ending of a game that has gone badly wrong, having seen the end of Nick's original 1p game in that one the contestant was able to laugh about his own extreme bad luck and Noel played along with that accordingly, other contestants you can see it's the right thing just to get it over with.

This was the second of Aaron's "don't miss" three games (third one tomorrow) so I assumed all were big wins - how wrong you can be! Bad results often seem to come in pairs (Irene and Nick, Trevor and Mike, Jim and Barbara) so I wonder if [player name spoiler] Matt's [/spoiler] game tomorrow will turn it round in style or complete an unfortunate hat-trick?

Poor Barbara, really wanted her to do well but I think the banker played a very clever game there when he dropped the offer from 11K to 8K knowing almost certainly that she would say 'no deal'.. I'm pretty sure I would have done as well thinking there was one more deal there. She was so unlucky in that last round taking out the 3 highest amounts that were left

Mine doesn't work but.......I could suck up to my sister and ask her to record it for me! ;-) I don't really mind missing it as long as I don't miss Lucy's game I've been looking forward to it for ages.

Perhaps Noel should have avoided saying that there was a feeling that she wanted to walk with five boxes left, that is a cue for the banker to entice the contestant on with a low offer. It did seem suprising that the offer went down after the 8 box stage with the two highest numbers, £75,000, and £35,000 not taken out, most would have thought the banker would have offered more. Interestingly, the audience wanted Barbara to go on, but the contestants had advised her to deal for the most part. What does that tell you?

Aww *hugs*

Maybe you should jinx it the other way. Maybe someone will win the 1p tomorrow...

Outside of this, thankfully rather compassionate, place, I've read several "I'm glad she only £1, it made me laugh and I enjoy seeing greedy people lose" comments. Which just beggars belief.

Gah, people.

Well if I'd tipped up three big winners I'd have been accused of spoiling! I always think shows that go to the end with a big decision at 5 boxes are "don't miss"-type shows.

So what about today, then :?:

I agree, those shows are the 'don't miss' ones, it was my own silly fault for assuming they were big wins  made it more dramatic when the big numbers went though as I was totally

Hoping for a big win today or at least a beat the banker show 8) after Jim and Barbara, need something to cheer us up

It always makes me really upset when people do badly - I think I get far too emotionally involved in the whole thing!

However, I must admit that it amused me slightly to hear "£3 - Deal or no deal?" - is that the lowest ever offer in active play?
