That was the most dissapointing result since Lance
I really wanted 2 £50,000 wins in a row

Ah well, its £5,000 more. Actually, if he won the £50,000, no offer would have been high enough.

A Great show today. I wouldn't have swaped my box. I'll never forget Matt's show.

I don't want to wait ages for another game for someone to go right to the end and win a huge sum. I'm afraid thats the reality, unless everyone there is a gambler

Really good game today, shame about the ending. Matt's the sort of person who could win the 250k. Well done anyway!

If the £250,000 is ever going to be won, it will take someone like Matt to go all the way regardless and open their box at the end. Sadly, the people who are prepared to go all the way either get rotten boards, a low numbered box or just plain bad luck, while those who do have the £250K always prove to be dealers.

Ouch. Giving it away makes it that much worse. Still, it sounds like it was a great game but is it any wonder people deal early when they see people like Matt play on and win comparatively peanuts, especially when the banker is in a phase of offering absurdly high early offers?

Exactly, if the people who do deal early, and have high values in the box actually went to the end and won it, we would be seeing MORE of these exciting, suspenseful, tense games.

By the way, I've noticed that they're now putting the "Banker's Offer SWAP" caption at the end when the banker gives a swap...up until now, they've onle done that when the swap has replaced a monetary offer, i.e. at the first offer when it's happened. Plus, Noel also formally asked him "Swap or no swap?", which also didn't used to happen when the banker offered the swap at the end of the game...

First of all, what do people have against Harry? He seems fine to me. :?

And wow...what a game. I have to admit I didn't warm to Matt that much - the big, loud gamblers are never my favourites - but I still felt for him crying at the end. That's exactly why I'd never ever swap...I doubt he'd have felt that bad if he'd stuck with his original box and it only had the £5k.

For what it's worth, I think I'd have taken the second offer.

I would have taken the 35k as well. Wakey wouldn't be pleased with us, would he?

Nope. Dealing with every red left is a bit stupid.

Not quite, as £50k was in the box...it would have been a fantastic proveout, but a last minute OBW. :(

Really, I'd have dealt because there's absolutely no way I could be disappointed with winning £35k. You probably think I should set my sights a bit higher, but £35k would be an amazing result for me, and even if it turned out I had the £250k in my box I think I'd get over it pretty quickly.

That's the first time I've seen a second offer I would have seriously considered. But I just don't think I could have got away from that board. Would have cut my losses and taken £25k at the end though.

Just imagine that game in reverse, an all red first two rounds! Still, we've had plenty almost as bad as that, Scottish John for one comes to mind...

Is it not an OPW if a player swaps a higher amount of money away?
