Hurrah! OK, £7,000 isn't the biggest of wins, but he did extremely well to get that after those first two rounds, especially with £10 in his box. Well done Ottis!

I don't think I'd have Dealt when he did...I'd actually have been tempted by the £4,000 the round before, although I'd probably have just gone to the end and won the tenner.

Ottis asked if he can have another shot. I didn't quite hear it myself but that's what he said apparently.

how come the offer would of went down to £5,000.01 if he kept the £20,000 in play?

It's pretty standard for a blue/£20k final two...the only exceptionally high offer we've had in that situation recently was Nick's £8,500. Everything else has been between £5k and £6k. (Except for Sharron's unusually mean offer.)

I wouldn't really describe the second show as "recent"...

That offer at the final two was about right, I'm glad the banker didn't inflate it for the prove-out. He also went under £5k for Naqiyah's £20k/blue on the proveout (can't remember the exact figure, it was something odd but began with a 4!)

I'd have taken that £7k without even thinking, the only way he was assured of a higher offer was the 30% chance of keeping two of the three reds. And only a 10% chance of a LOT higher (£20k/£15k).

And I thought early on "Another one I like whose game is going completely pear-shaped", but glad he rescued a nice sum and beat the banker, well done Ottis! :)

Some Stats...

Contestants who had an blue/£20,000 final two and had £20,000 in their box.

Marilyn - £5/£20,000 - offer: £5,500

Vanessa - £500/£20,000 - offer: £5,000

Sarah - £500/£20,000 – offer: £6,000

Ron - £500/£20,000 – offer: £5,200

So even though Vanessa had £495 more than Marilyn she was offered £500 less. The Banker must of liked Sarah...

Contestants that had already dealt.

Sandy - £1/£20,000 - offer: £5,000

Linda E - £1/£20,000 -offer: £9,000

Naqiyah - £5/£20,000 – offer: £4,949

JT - £500/£20,000 - offer: £5,100

Linda E's offer was just bizarre! Sandy was offered more than Naqiyah, only just though.

Contestants who had an blue/£20,000 final two, didn't have £20,000 in their box but managed to keep it to the end.

Audrey - £1p/£20,000 – offer: £8,500

Sharron – 1p/£20,000 – offer £3,000

Nick(27th March) - £50/£20,000 - offer: £6,000

Nick M - £250/£20,000 – offer £8,500

Mark(1) - £500/£20,000 – offer: £9,900

Audrey's and Sharron's offers were just silly....

Contestants that had already dealt.

Aaron – 50p/£20,000 – offer: £5,000

Paul (22nd February) - £1/£20,000 - offer: £6,000

Sarah (Ducks, Doughnuts and Pretzels!) - £1/£20,000 - offer £6,000

So Ottis's final offer wasn't that bad after all...
