Maybe they cut out the part where she changed her mind.

I am clearly not back in the swing of all things DOND as I forgot to set the video... I am going to bed tonight with a video tape under my pillow to act as a reminder for tomorrow...

After all the hype leading up to the first show for weeks a shame it wasn't more money but a courageous effort. I wonder if it came down to the advice of the girl on the bike or would Lyndsey have no dealt anyway? Maybe she'll let us know. What is it about Inverness? Such a wonderful place to live, but like Geordie, not the perfect result, but if you can live in such a nice location, that must be some compensation!

Hi All thanks for the comments. I had a brillo time and enjoyed the company of lovely folk including Noel and the crew. The audiance were so supportive. Yes rico Inverness is a great place to live. Check it out on the web or in person. I gave my son the £500 for his driving lessons so hopefully that will be a skill he can have for life. I watched the show with friends, my folks and my son. So I have a slightly sore head today! I'd like to say thanks to Suzan for the pics and love the forum guys its fantastic. Lins x :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I finally found the differences.

Image Image

The lids are less taller when opened, and there is less 'box' either side of the number plate on the front of the box.

Lindsay, may I ask how 'fixed' or not the walkabout seemed in the studio?

I discussed this with my Dad yesterday to try and deduce how possible it is from a technical point of view to do an impromptu walk out of the studio - I imagine it was a wireless camera, but the picture/signal quality would surely have degraded more than that had they walked a long way from the reciever and with the studio acting as a Faraday cage - think of the cameramen on bikes during the London Marathon whenever they momentarily lose touch with the link helicopter.

My head's hurting now! ;) Any comments? Ooh, and can anyone find a clip of it on YouTube?

from what i remember when i was at the studios, the walk that they took from the audience entrance doors, up to the main road is only about 150 metres, so the signal wouldnt necessarily be interrupted too much, I'm thinking Anneka Rice in helicopter here.
Also, as they are walking along, you can see the bonnet of Edmond's black Range Rover in the distance.

Hi Crispy, to be honest I'm note sure how 'fixed' it was. I'm sure they planned it a wee bit they must have I suppose as two of the cameras were roving when Noel and I went outside. Loved the girl on the bike. What you didn't see was all the cars and buses tooting when they saw Noel and the cameras.it was an adventure Crispy but we weren't that far from the studio its self only about 100 yards. Great experience and good laugh. Hope this helps to answer your question. Lins
