I'm sure Dave, Nick or Geordie would know as they were from that era...

hang on that's no-one then

because trevor had £250,000 in his box in a game (i think it was Leigh's)
Sam or Raj never had the £250,000 in Round 5

I think its a lie

Wow, this November week produced so many great games. Are these the two biggest winning consecutive shows ever? Mally's £54,000 + Trevor's £47,000 = £101,000...you'd have to discount the two shows where £100k or more was won (which as you all know are Jennifer and Gaz) but even if you compare other consecutive shows, like Lisa (£20,000) and Germaine (£75,000) it's still only £95,000.

The £47,000 was high, but at the time I didn't care. Like Mally, I was just happy to see such a great contestant win shedloads, something that happens way too little nowadays - you wait weeks for a memorable contestant to play, and it's a trainwreck game!

I thought the same about Karen's game. Was a really odd flat end - even though she sold a £15,000 box for £17,000, instead of the audience cheering at the reveal, or even clapping, they were utterly deadly silent. The contestants seemed a bit reluctant to crowd round the table at the end, too, they were only just starting to appear as the credits ended...really odd. :?

I have some of the clues he gave us.

-He is one of the original 22
-He had a blue in his box
-Left the quarter of a million till the 5th round in his game
-Is male
-Hasn't had a 6 digit amount in his box.

Which leaves us with nobody!

Do you think you could have misinterpreted something somewhere?

Great game, Trevor got exactly what he deserved, a fabulous contestant!

However, the banker's offers are getting more insane - first of all, no way would he have nearly trebled an offer having lost two hugely important safety nets, and the £47k was nearly as much as Jennifer was offered with £250k and £100k on the board!

It was almost as if the banker was saying "I'm desperate to get rid of you at any price, given there's still £250k up there, despite the lack of any other high amount"! :)

I was just thinking that we've now broken this record - £132,000 won in the last two shows! Actually...that's even bigger than the pairs involving Jennifer and Gaz! Hurrah!

(Hahah, I say "we"...I didn't contribute much, really. What I mean is that Nick and Lance broke it.)

Jennifer and Gaz's games weren't consecutive, though.

The best game of the ones to be consecutive with a six-figure winner was Francesca's £20k win the day before Gaz played, those two games only equal Jennifer's total. Jennifer's game was preceded and succeeded by wins of only £1,000 and £3,800.

So yes, we have just had the record for two consecutive games. :)
