Yeah but John G was before the opening offers got generous, I was just referring to recent John as back in February the opening offers were usually crap anyway (though admittedly not as bad as £8!)

Well, he certainly benefited from being one of the earliest contestants. £9,900 seems an unbelievable offer for a £500/£20,000 decision now.
