If she was playing yesterday instead, there would have been another 0 in the box, £75,000 but would she have won that amount?

That 5-box offer was complete rubbish with £75K & £100K on the board! The 2-box offer was derisory too.

This is getting really silly. Besides the very specific situations of a total one box game at 3 or 2 box the ITV Banker isn't even trying to the box anymore.

The most annoying part is he keeps getting away with it due to players having terrible luck at pivotal parts of the game, or in Chris's and Helen's cases them having the good luck needed but not even being willing to decline the gimme no deals. :( :smt011

At least Kem was able to recover to £7,500 and don't get my tone wrong, I'm happy she did recover to a good sum ( :-) ), but the Banker needs to be properly punished for this terrible play with a mega win, and I won't be fully satisfied until he is as otherwise he'll likely just keep continuing this abhorrent offer trend. :|

I'd call out Stephen for Edmondsian interference but with this Banker approach it's not even inaccurate :smt046

That was a big game with a very decent result and yet the toughest decision of the game was turning down 30% of the average on a two-box game with a perfectly reasonable third box. This board would have been 1p/£3k/£20k/£100k/£250k in the C4 era; that's a less stable board (because detached jackpot in that era) and obviously far higher stakes, so the equivalent generosity relative to the mean is significantly more dealable on that hypothetical than the real Kem board even ignoring the small matter of Kem having a 3-box offer when most C4 contestants didn't.

That hypothetical equivalent offer is £22,500. Which still would have sparked a forum meltdown if anyone took it on that 5-box, even after the instant-death proveout probably - and, again, that hypothetical has three separate ways in which the equivalent generosity is easier to take than the actual situation today.

And, again, this was the least terrible offer of the game!!

I have to agree. I'm happy Kem got a good result in the end, but none of those offers were worth even cursory consideration. And if only we hadn't had the 10% nightmare round for the second game in a row, the banker might have had to make an actual attempt to buy the box. 8-box warranted an offer in the 12-15k range, and 5-box really should've been the 20k mark or a bit more.

The sooner this period of awful offers ends the better.
