Round 7

Stephen says Nay Nay would've been the highest winner to date if she'd taken that. Nay Nay says she's been drawn to Ash but doesn't know what it means.

21 - Ash - £2,000 :D :D :D

Banker time with £75,000 and £100,000 remaining...

The one advantage of this revised board is that the difference between £100k and £75k is certainly easier to gamble than the difference between £250k and £100k.

Nay Nay asks what the hell's going on and she gets quite emotional. Stephen says this is the perfect board.

The banker says he's absolutely furious and is screaming down the phone!

BANKER'S OFFER

£82,700

Stephen says this is the highest offer they've ever had.

Nay Nay says

 NO DEAL

The convenient "make this low enough that pretty much anyone is going to gamble here" offer.

They really wanted the £100k winner if it's in her box (not that I think Nay Nay would have dealt £90k).

I don't blame him, from a production standpoint the budget is busted regardless so might as well make an offer that makes it easy to go on and potentially produce the fanfare of a jackpot winner. :D

Stephen points out she's the player who's had the £100k the most while on the wings.

Stephen opens Nay Nay's box 1 and she wins...............

£75,000

The £100,000 is in Taylor's box 22.

Stephen says Nay Nay's very special and is now the highest ever winner :D

Hahahahaha.

That was hilarious. I'm sorry, but it was.

We ain't ever gettin' a £100k winner. We've had two mad high stakes gambles AND the actual dream finish (within 80-ish shows? So the equivalent of having seen all that by February 2006, which would seem pretty mad)

And it still couldn't produce.

Love it.

Absolutely terrific game! Some brave but not reckless decisions rewarded and our biggest winner on the ITV version by an enormous margin. You really couldn't ask for more.

I mean...within seventeen shows, a player had turned down £52,000 for a shot at the 'dream finish' and walked away with £120,000, so...

What a game, what a show. What a player, what a heart.

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.
