Another day, another game.

Things looked like they were going so well, but that round from hell literally which is so rare proves it not how you start it’s how your finish.

Although there was 5 in 5 at least Karen walked away with something.

Congratulations :)

First £225,000 total nightmare round of the revival. :(

At least Karen did well to get back to roughly 3k after that nightmare round. Most players probably would've been shell-shocked by that and dealt at 5 or 3 box believing the luck isn't there. :-)

That round was unfortunately the most memorable part of watching her game from the audience for me. Glad she still won a decent amount though.

Urgh can I just say though - I do wish the Banker would stop offering such random amounts. £2,930 is just a load of numbers. The player and audience has stopped listening once the first number has been said. Make it either 2k or 3k.

I still don't know why they're doing that. :ponder: I assume it's to make it look more 'calculated' but it makes the banker look more like a machine than a human.

I miss the old banker so much. This one isn’t playing the player - he’s just offering mathematically what is right for the board. It makes for a much duller show. He doesn’t punish the player for a bad round. Karen had the worst round possible and he just went from 5k odd to 2k odd. As well as that, Stephen and the Banker don’t talk to each other, Stephen literally just dictates what the Banker is saying and even that isn’t that interesting. I miss the psychological element to the show so much.

That 1 in 165 nightmare round was brutal! But I'm glad she won something of value, though that sting in the tail of having 5k all along was frustrating.

That's right. I hadn't really noticed why, but I did sense a total staleness to the interactions. Cos there isn't really one at all.

People assumed there wasn't a 'Banker' on the line in the OG version even though there obviously had to have been *somebody* there, but I think a similar theory for this run will have real credibility to it. It's just someone calculating on their phone down his earpiece, isn't it?
