£100k Gaz no-dealt £35k and £100k Maria no-dealt £40,550 but they had £10k and £15k back-up respectively so ACB probably means against a blue (or possibly low red). I think. Not that I can remember those shows he refers to as they were later in the C4 run when I'd more or less switched off!

Anyway even that felt a bit formulaic. No big build-up or anything. There's never going to a be a swap at the end now if they won't do it on that finish.

I deliberately worded my comment to count the amount the contestant was actually risking, which was only £25,000/£25,550 with Gaz and Maria respectively. ;)

Otherwise technically the highest amount no dealt to go for the 100k was £87,501 by Harry on a £75k/£100k finish, which is incomparable with most other gambles for the 100k for obvious reasons. :P

Wow. Seriously, just... wow. Easily the most reckless no deal this series, arguably the most reckless even factoring in the old series! Risking nearly 55k on a coin flip with an upshot of just 40k... never would I have seen that coming.

Astonishingly enough, despite the enormous crash, it's still the most anyone has won by playing to the end in this version of the show. So there's that...

Has anyone checked on Mark??

Absolutely baffling game. I've made half-troll posts about people getting swept up in greed and the board, but bloody hell if that isn't exactly what unfolded here. I was almost laughing. Couldn't ever have a more perfect player for the ''only here once'' crowd.

But as James1978 said... that badly needed Noel. Though I think most, if not ALL the Beatles references would have been lost on him. Mulhern did seem to show genuine excitement (or at least break off from the teleprompter) when she asked for the £60k question immediately. His telling the audience to quieten down so he could ask her quickly felt pretty 'real'.

It's also pretty insane how both Sam and Dori won effectively the same amount of money but in totally different ways.

Another useless fact - Dori's game means that £5,000 is the first red amount to have been won twice on this new version; previously David also won £5,000 but via dealing instead. The only other amounts to have been won twice on the ITV version are £5 and £250.

Literally the female Morris...18 years later  (that makes me feel very old yet I still remember the original game like it was yesterday!)

Perhaps up there in Deal Or No Deal history along with Mary and her accidental then real No Deal, I suspect it caught absolutely everyone in the studio (and in the production office!) by surprise

I'm sure someone will win the jackpot one day but certainly not in such a OHO sense as today!

Wow.

She definitely should have done a Jennifer as opposed to a Morris but what a game that was. Do we think the first jackpot winner will be spoiled? I kind of never thought she’d win the 100k purely because I hadn’t heard of anything.

What an excellent player. You need to take risks to win the big money. You have to admire players with this attitude to be honest.

We need more players like this! Otherwise the big money would never be won. Imagine if she had won the big one, everyone would be on here praising her, and calling a brave woman, but no because she won the 5,000 she gets called reckless.

Gambling £55k to win £40k on a coin flip isn't just risky, it's mathematically wrong. If you want to do that, deal at £60k, go to the casino and put £40k on red or black and at least you'll have £20k if you lose.

Mathematically incorrect absolutely - but this illustrates something that I feel our forum, through the years, has never quite been able to grasp: for whatever reason, this gameshow does something to the human psyche, so that those who play it do so not with their brain, but with their heart.

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.
