The Banker says the players never learn, because he always wins when the player pushes it.

He says Reece should take this!

BANKER'S OFFER

He’s opening the damn box, isn’t he? That’s not going to end well.

I'm sorry, but if he turns THAT amo down he deserves to win 1p.

   :? :? :?

Yeah, see my previous posts for my thoughts on that gamble.

Crazy how none of these players any sense of moderate play based on the board and just play the money. Only moderate gameplay we've really seen in the past 2 weeks is Stevie's, and his game is a glaring example of how giving the game a go but knowing when the risk isn't worth it can pay massive dividends!

Honestly at these stakes and this economy, I’m starting to understand why they’re taking these kinds of gambles. Might not be very calculated risks but when it’s low thousands, it’s far from life changing money. Glad to see multiple players having a real go!

These sorts of comments aren't warranted at any time, but certainly when we're talking about somebody who gave so much of their life up to be on the medical frontline during the biggest medical emergency of our lifetime. Have some *beep* respect.

I do geniunely feel sorry for the guy, hes going to get so many death threats and unecessary abuse by people, I respect him for taking a big gamble, hes got a lot of guts, which is more than other people, with the way the economy is going, can you understand why they take risks? In order to win big money, you have to take gambles, I do feel sorry for him, and i feel sorry for his family, social media, are going to be downright nasty to a great guy!

PS He is a nurse, £8,500 wont even be close to calling his student debt off.

I can't see the games, but i can read the resume and how it's possible to be so dumb.

I guess i would have dealt at the 4,3 k offer, even if i totally understand a no deal.

The 8k no deal, i can get it too, since the banker is very generous at the final offer, even a 1p/5 k was meaning a good 2,5k offer as backup.

However, no dealing this was just plain dumb. It was more than average, and it wasn't life changing money anyway, so i don't get why taking this gamble, as long as it's not life changing money, it's dumb to go home with nothing when you can go home with something.

I understand gamble on small stakes, but only when the offer is below the average or right on average.

There will be reasons why he rejected that. £8,500 not enough to pay his student debt off. Besides, the players won't know the offer more than the average

Like i said i get the no deal at 8,5 k since there were 25k still on the board, it's the last no deal which was dumb, and i think he saw this other game were the offer was 2,4 k on 1p/4k finish !

There is this pattern with atrocious offers on first 3 rounds, fair offer on r4 and r5, and excellent offer on r6 and r7 :box:

Total unmitigated shambles. The whole game long our designated dancing bear modesty and conscientiously outlines the plans for the money, nothing solely for himself. A cheap car for the folks, gifts for friends, a not outlandish holiday of benefit to both he and his supportive partner. Lovely to see.

There were several decisions to make that would ensure these plans would be idealised. Let's be honest, the guys in the office, they don't want low wins and will chuck absurdly inflated offers out as a softlock against a total crash. And in front of our baying viewership, it would be wise to accept one of these offers and not get carried away by the seductive lure of the game board graphics.

But here we have an unpleasant commodity enter the frame. GREED. That is the long and short of it, fellas. Pure fixation on the hypotheticals and not the actualities. The reward, the pitfall, the highly preventable circus tragedy - call it what you will - has netted him the unenviable (shared) title of being a 1p player. That was worth the time invested in the show, weren't it? The fervent anticipation of seeing The Big Apple up close and personal will now wither on the vine.

This episode should not have been allowed to air. Why it was sanctioned, simply beyond me. It's not a decision I would have made I can assure you.

i don't know what to say about that. If you are going to gamble £2,650 to win £5,000 - might as well go to the casino, put £2,350 on red or black and then at least if you lose, you still have £300 left.
