It's pivotal, but I would personally continue. It wouldn't be bad to deal, but it's only 49% of the average.

8 boxes left

Average: £15,832
Offer: £7,800
Offer (%): 49.25

Highest offer: £7,800
Highest offer (%): 50.7

2 box median: £2,875
Fair deal: £5,656

Highest future average: £21,116 (5 boxes left)
Risk of collapse: 54%

ROUND FIVE

Box 9 - £100,000 :(

Just the £20K left now, with £5K and £1K as fall-backs.

Box 13 - £5,000

Box 14 - £50

That was a bit of a disaster. At least the £20K is still in play. Plus £1,000 and three blues (£5, £100 and £500).

The offer is £2,400

Four lower. One higher. A tough one to call.

Alan says DEAL.

He takes home £2,400 :D :D

£2,400... deal... he gave up. :(

I can't blame him, it's a shame, but still there's always the chance of receiving a better offer next round.

The offer would have been £400.

Alan's box number 15 has £1,000

It's still a victory against the banker. :D

Box 7 had £5 in it.

I liked him, Suez! He didn't exactly fill me with enthusiasm, but I liked the way he seemed to take the game as it came and kept his feet on the ground about it all. Shame he didn't get much...I think I'd have gone to the end in that game, but he made the right call and it's not a bad amount.

Alan was a top player - pity the bigger money stayed out of his grasp. Still £2,400 ain't bad! :D

Pointless trivia - Alan did 24 shows, and therefore won exactly £100 per show. I just realised that, and thought it was rather cool.

Thats not bad earnings is it Dan £100 per show, not bad at all together with free board and lodgings for the time he was there, not to mention the pampering in make-up dept.

Nope, not bad at all! Certainly not compared to Lucy's 10p per show...

A good game indeed. £2,400 is certainly not to be sniffed at, especially as Alan said at the end that it will pay for a nice holiday with his family.

I think Alan could be most accurately described as decisive, clinical and practical. He seemed to know what he was doing and where he was going. It didn't allow for the most exciting of shows, but it did get him a healthy sum, which he seemed to deserve as he came across as a pleasant guy.
