Tidybeard has been searching for a different way to start this aging game show. He's been racking his noggin for a memorable, amusing way of introducing a bus driver.

Beep beep! Noel does like his buses.

Playing today is Kevin.

Kevin Ross hails from Wishaw in Lanarkshire.

He's been piloting passenger cattle wagons for five years.

Obligatory pictures are displayed. An ultrasound scan tips this game into high-end boundaries of potential emotional manipulation and male tears.

And away we go!

No.5 was the box selected by Kevin entirely at random. ''No one thrust it upon you'' - Tidybeard 2k6.

Kevin has lucky numbers he's supposed to leave until the end stages, but he's having trouble recalling them underneath the melting studio lights and a gazing audience of 2,000,000 200,000.

He knows Box 1 wasn't a special box, so we start proceedings with this one.

Michael - 1 - £10

''Lovely Sue. Do something lovely''.

Sue-sue-suedio - 10 - £1,000

Ian - 6 - £15,000

''ooooooo''

''Lovely'' Rachel - 8 - £3,000

Ohh, telephone-y. Banker man tells Kevin that he shouldn't bother playing with any assistance if he can't remember some lucky numbers.

'Showaddywaddy' - 13 - 10p

Kevin would like to be a pilot, but the man on the other end of the line advises him not to pursue the career change. ''You'll be setting off before everyone has sat down''.

A bowler-hatted audience member brings down the offer. He is ridiculously tall, so Noel makes some incredibly cliche observations. ''What's the weather like up there?'' - ''Play a lot of basketball?''.

Kevin predicts an offer of £7,600.

What is the actual offer? Breaktime first, then the reveal.

We're back!

Was he right? Nope. The offer is £8,500.

''No Deal''

Ding ding ding went the bell to signal the start of round two.

Audrey - 15 - £100

Tidybeard is sounding quite noticeably older now, he's descending into gravelly tones. Oh lookie here, more buttering up of older females. ''Hello, you're lovely! Where have we got you from?''

He is talking to Pearl of High Wycombe, who opens box 4 - 1p. Kiss, dance and... that's about it. The penny celebrations never did go the full eight miles.

Ruby - 12 - £250,000. Taking the wind right out of his sails.

You wouldn't want to be sat behind the massive bowler-hatted audience man.

The chaps on the phone stick at £8,500.

Ambitions are being lined out across the table. A bigger house is the top goal.

''No Deal''.

Round the third.

Annalise - 20 - £500

Anna-little.

Are we going for Becky and box 9? Very broad cockney drawl on her. ''Ah down't think you werz keeping this one were ya?''

We are, £50 in that one.

Colin on the wings throws to the break.

We can add New York and Las Vegas to the ambitions list.

After much chatter, the Banker plugs the gap on the board with £15,000.

''No Deal''

Steve - 16 - £50,000. First inroad into that block of large reds.

Matthew - 22 - £5

Have we reached all the special numbers now? Appears to be the case.

Gavin - 14 - £20,000. Smattering of awkward applause.

''He wants a deal and he sticks at £15,000''.

''No Deal'' - well, it went to a break, but it's clear what he's doing.

The stakes are lower by far now, so accordingly the offer is £5,000.

We have ''No Deal''.

Something between these two - £8,500. Back to the start.

I'd have predicted £9,750

Answer @ 44 minutes...

The £35,000 is staying at two box :smt023

Yup! Told ya!

46 minutes... he's dealing.

Yup! Told ya!

Extremely very brave to deal box 23?

Power five winner denied :(

O M R........

Naughty banker :smt011 for not letting him know if he was allowed the swap when he asked as he said he would have gone for it if he had known he was getting it.

Was expecting another "NO OFFER" at two box...
