I'd want £50,000 here without the button.

Power five winner :D

Jackpot winner denied :(

May have been another dream finish in live play if she didn't press the button just before five box and / or had known the (you know what) at five box.

When was the last time we had the top two at five box?

It's hard to complain about a win as large as £50,000. Well done, Kristie. :smt023

Last time the top 2 stayed to five box was Walter's game in April.

Last time someone had the dream finish was Yomi's game in March.

Perfectly reasonable deal, horribly unlucky proveout. Hopefully she won't have too many regrets. :smt023

I would have gone on, no doubt the banker would have made the usual 4/3 box offer to throw a spanner in the mix. There was enough 'smile' money on the board to personally justify turning down £50k, unlucky to keep the 1p which was probably spooking her a bit.

Been some really tense big money games since they shoved it into a graveyard slot! :(

Not sure there would have been a 4/3 box offer given it could be argued she wasted the button the round earlier. Either way, the offers at 4 and 3 box would have been very tempting and she'd probably still not have been in live play at 2-box.

The last time i can remember this was back in March 2007 when Patrick dealt at £50k, yet all the players on the wings were sobbing like their best friend had died when Patrick undersold the £250k, despite him still winning a huge amount!

Sadly. you only have to look at short this thread is realize the show isn't getting good ratings in the 1.10pm timeslot. If this game was on at 4.15pm, and happened maybe 3 or so years ago when there was still reasonable activity on here, this page would easily be at least 4 pages long by now and would certainly have some interesting discussion! :(

Actually, you all are forgetting £70,000 Paul's game from 3 years ago when he cried upon seeing the jackpot in his box even though he won a life changing amount of money and it would've taken a kamikaze gamble to win the £250,000 (his final offer was £100,000 on a £100/£250k finish!).

Unfortunately, I completely agree with the second part. :(
