Polly says £3,000 will allow her to see her family more often. The Banker calls and Greg brings in a gold envelope.

Polly wins a THREE NIGHT BREAK FOR 2 IN BARCELONA :D

The Banker says Polly deserves it. Greg brings out the Banker's Pledge and Noel reads it. He says he will respect every player, not underplay them and not cackle down the phone at Noel.

The Banker's gift will be revealed TOMORROW.

The show finishes with highlights of 2013.

Not much of a highlights reel there, but that's only a minor quibble. At least we got a fair final result for 2013. :smt023

A game that disintegrated after the first round and there would have been no shame in taking one of the deals from 5-box but thankfully she at least had a red in her box at the end.

Second game in a row where a player brings a low red to the table and loses most of the other reds in quick succession. Some generous offers from the banker in spite of that (Let's hope that continues on boards where the big money hangs around, jury's still out though), and at least Polly had some decisions to make in what was basically a trainwreck game from the second round onwards. Must admit I was a bit disappointed the highlights bit at the end wasn't longer too, but the bits they chose were good anyway. The production team probably had other things on their mind, what with having to move studios and stuff.

Enjoy £3,000 and the Barcelona trip Polly. The banker's 'pledge' sounds like they're aiming for less schaudenfreude and more emphasis on the game to pad out the hour - sounds good in theory but we'll have to see.
