If people would like to put themselves down for a commentary then feel free to do so, and we can keep a rota going for who's doing them when. The default position for now will be Davao on Mondays and Richie on other weekdays, but I know Richie's willing to share the commentaries with others. :)

Current rota

Mon 5 - Davao
Tue 6 - Richie
Wed 7 - Richie
Thu 8 - Richie
Fri 9 - Richie

Mon 12 - Davao
Tue 13 - Richie
Wed 14 - Richie
Thu 15 - Richie
Fri 16 - Richie

A commentary should provide a summary of the introduction to the game (i.e. details about the player), along with details of each round along with the banker's offers and the player's decisions. Each round, offer and player's decision is made in a separate post to give people the opportunity to comment on the game while it is happening. Additional comments made by Noel and the player, particularly when the player is making a decision, are also welcome.

The formatting for the box values and offers are achieved by using the formatting buttons above the posting box - simply click on the required option and type the value within the tag. For example, an offer of £3,000 would be reported by clicking 'offer-red' and typing '£3,000', as below:

Code:
[offer-red]£3,000[/offer-red]

This would produce:

BANKER'S OFFER

£3,000

The same applies to the other formatting buttons for the box values ('boldblue' and 'boldred'), offers, proveout offers and the player's prediction.

Hold on, on second thoughts I won't be able to do Wednesdays as I won't be near a computer on these days, so I'll do Thursdays instead of Wednesdays? :)

Yes, it worked.

Does this mean I can do a commentary now? :eyes:

Subject to change, though almost certainly not.

Kestral started providing regular commentaries in February 2006, shortly after the forum started and just a few months after the show had started. About 18 months later, I started to regularly share the commentaries with him which I was able to do until I started full-time work in March 2012, from which point I was normally only able to do the Sunday shows.

Following the demise of the Sunday shows, I'm unfortunately no longer able to provide any more commentaries for the foreseeable future (aside from a few afternoons - including Bank Holidays - when I may be free and able to commentate). Kestral hasn't been able to commentate since last autumn and I don't expect that'll change soon.

Therefore the help of all others who have stepped in to provide commentaries (I won't name all of them in case I miss someone out!) is very much appreciated. :smt023

Much admiration to Kestral, H, Hog, Sky and everyone else for their hard work. Anyone who thinks doing commentaries is easy should try it! Its very hard to keep track, especially if there is a quickie or you miss a name of a winger.

I have to say my favourite commentator is KP  I quite enjoyed Saparego who commentated on the adverts too - that is dedication! :smt023

Thank you norwichdonder for agreeing to cover the show today.

Will send out a request for Wednesday and Thursday later on.
