Banker's offer would've been:

£60

Who cares if it wasn't the greatest deal? Guaranteed money is better than a blue.

£15,000 is not on the table. Calling it.

It is ridiculously generous but that's what the banker said it would be.

Box 18 with Suwanna contains the £250.

Noel says things may not have turned out as well as Guy hoped, but he's pleased he managed a good sum of money. Guy says he's happy with £2,500. :D :smt023 Noel reassures Guy that he hasn't let anyone down, and he should be proud with himself.

Well, yes, Charles, but we can't lose sight of the fact that he was speaking hypothetically. In live play, the offer may well have been slightly less generous; as we've seen in similar situations to this when in live play. :smt023

I would've expected, at most, £4,000 at 3-box. But we just can't predict what the Banker will do. :eyes:

The nerves got the better of him today.

If the £15,000 had stayed at two box, I would have expected the Bankers Gamble.

...and your point is? If that had happened, would you have wanted the BG to be taken just so he could crash to a blue?

I think I must have gone to school with Guy! I lived in Weymouth until I was 20, and I recognise the surname immediately, recall his brother being in my tutor group.

Weymouth and Portland Borough Council is practically merging with neighbouring West Dorset Borough Council, and I'm pretty sure it's in order to make efficiency savings that include job cuts. No wonder he didn't take a 4-box gamble that was set up to be taken on with the inflated prospective offer - heck, I would only have played on with a view to insta-dealing said offer if I got it.

A quarter of a million pennies for the Guy!

Shame he didn't keep the £15k to 2-box, just so my curiosity could have been sated to what the 2-box offer would have been. £4,600 at 3-box would have needed over £7k at 2-box to have been worth the gamble statistically.

But didn't the Banker tell Guy what the next offer would be before he dealt the £2,500? In that case he would have been honour bound to offer it in live play had Guy gone on

Well the luck has certainly abandoned the dream factory this week, last week players could almost do no wrong, now they're pretty much crashing and burning. At least Guy got out with some money but it was a close run thing
