Noel thinks Parv would have been a bit jumpy now if she had said no deal.

Banker's offer would've been:

£13,450

As to what she said about the £35,000, here's hoping this will be the Bankers Gamble......

Box 7 with Katie contains £100,000

Noel says that he is so happy for Parv. Parv says she feels like she is on cloud 9 and can't believe she has won all that money.

Glorious subversion of the catapult twist with an 8-box OPW - surely the last time they try that one again.

Haha, brilliant! Good to see a Spanking after the disapointing games recently, even though it was a cautious deal. And no punishmental twist too. Good!

That 8-box offer was one of the worst I've ever seen for a board with 6 reds including £100k & £250k. I would've expected at least £30k.

At least we finish with a spanking even though that offer was rubbish. Oh, and they didn't use the catapult, thank goodness. I say BURN the stupid thing!

Bod.

I know it's a typo but it reminds me of one of my childhood cartoons. :)

WHAT? THE? FUDGE!??!??!??!?!?!!??!

The THIRD game this week with a deal before the 5-box twist... and this one was perhaps the most cautious of the lot...

Thank heavens, then, that it turned out to be the right move. And thank heavens, too, that the catapult twist went ignored... :)

This might have been a bit of a strange move given what Noel said about the catapult in his opening monologue - but it shows that, thankfully, the producers haven't quite gone locos en las cabezas just yet... :)

But they are still going to have to sit down and consider everything that happened this week - with these three before-twist deals, the continued poor success rate of the catapult, and the fact that two contestants lost money on it - and discuss what they should do for future themed weeks so that the chances of these events occurring are much lower... :?

No-one's yet answered my question as to how many BGs there have been since Alice... :?

If you don't know for sure, then why not guesstimate? ;)

A search of the forum reveals there have actually been 40 Banker's Gambles offered since Alice's game on 12th March 2009: 16 in 2009 (between Alice's game and the end of the year), 18 in 2010, and 6 so far this year. Coincidentally, a Banker's Gamble was offered on both Christmas Eve 2009 and 2010...

You were way off, Mark - should've been braver and gone for a higher number!

I noticed the fake offer trick started early today at 17box.

Her response to the 14box offer "its a lot of money" got a quick, scolding response from Noel "There's a lot of money still there Parv". Could they be getting worried about a rush of early deals?...

It wasn't accepted last season and yet it hasn't been accepted this season yet.

Cheers H. :smt023

That's more than I thought, actually... although I'm not too surprised that there have very few so far this year compared to last. :eyes: ;)

Well, I make it only four times that it has been accepted since its introduction... ;)

If so, they'll probably be even more worried now... ;)

Alice, Mel, Cheryl, Justin, Bel, Karina, Simon, Semi. That's at least eight. ;)

An 8-box offer today that even I would have turned down and then we get 2 proveout offers which are probably accurate for a change (I reckon the banker might have thought that £17k would have got her out at 2-box).

Glad to see no catapult today but we did get the weirdness with the pilgrim being put in that weird contraption (presumably something they must have asked a volunteer for beforehand)
