Daz says his daughters want a pony, and he has seen so many games go belly-up he decided to bail out.

Here are his next choices:-

Box 7 = £250

Box 15 = £250,000 :D :D

He'll be pleased at losing that one.

Box 3 = £5000

Not disasterous, but still a powerful board, with £75K and £50K and £20K remaining. The offer would have been £10K.

:D

The final prove-out round:-

Box 6 = £75,000 :D

Box 4 = £50,000 :D :D

That'll do. The two biggies!! :-D

50p, £500 and £10K remain.

Daz chooses Box 5 - £20,000 :D :D :D

Absolutely perfect!!!

Would have been a total train-wreck.

50p or £500

The offer would have been £200

:D :D

It's all academic now as Daz only has £500 in box 22.

Box 17 has 50p

Daz goes home a convincing winner with £19,900 :D :D

Well done mate!

Now THAT's how to play the game, IMHO. Well done, Daz, and I hope your girls enjoy their pony.

Daz annoyed me quite a bit, with all the impressions, but I'm glad he got a good sum of money.

That was an interesting finish, I'm glad he dealt when he wanted to deal, and not play on because of a desire to beat the banker. I'd like to have known what he wrote in the book, because it would bring more context to the decision, but £19,900 is a good amount in anyone's books.

I'm a bit surprised by the banker's offers today, it seems somewhat random as to whether he gives good or bad offers at times, even more than I would attribute to his perceived dislike of a player. £19,900 offered with 8 boxes left was reckless, and £10,000 for a board of 20k, 50k and 75k is just plain silly.

The chances of having 2 of the bottom 4 from 8 boxes in the last round, is 21%. It sounds quite high, but is balanced by the odds of having 2 of the top 4 in the last round, which is again 21%. So while I'm happy for him going away with £19,900, things were looking very good overall, even though it would have gone wrong.

Eddie, I may be mistaken, but didn't Noel say he'd written £25,000 in his book???? I got interrupted by a phone call at this point, but I am almost sure that's what Noel said - did anyone else hear this??

Well played Daz! Seemed like a top bloke, the sort that would always get his round in first at the bar... :-D

Enjoy the cash!

Yes, he wrote £25,000 in Noel's book.

Thank you, AVIE and naughty, I'm surprised it was that high.

It implies he would go all the way, if he knew that the average at the start of the game was £25,712, but he might have thought that £19,900 was close enough to £25,000 to deal, after seeing the last game and previous games with good boards fall apart.

I'm just glad Daz decided it was too risky too go on after 19.9k as it'd have been disasterous!
