Was his accent really that difficult to understand? It seems no-one on Twitter could understand it, but I didn't have too much of a problem.

Anthony and his twin-brother were certainly a great "double-act" (as Noel said), and it was good to see them get a feel-good ending to the game. All the best to them for the future.

I understood every word. As I say though, I'm scouse, so it may be easy for me.

Certainly heard more unintelligible scouse accents before though.

I found Anthony a little hard to understand at times because he was quite softly-spoken and his voice was quite high-pitched at times.

Was also surprised at there being no swap offer at the end but it's possible it may have been offered then edited out to show more banter (and how often he changed his mind when choosing the boxes!). Otherwise, the first offer was also a swap so the banker may have chosen not to bother a second time.

Happy to see the spur-of-the-moment gamble pay off at the end but that would have hurt big time if it hadn't!

Very brave player - not a high stakes gamble in real terms but £20k will help them out greatly.

The no-deal at 5-box was probably a braver one than at 2-box (which was borderline and I wouldn't have criticised either decision)

Why would he offer the swap when Anthony had already turned it down at the start of the game? :ponder: The Banker's not going to waste a phone call making an offer he knows is redundant.

Anyway a good game. I tend to agree with KP - Given Anthony's health issues and the inherant financial problems he must face he had every reason to deal those last couple of offers. Very surprised both times he said no deal and so relieved it paid off.

Is that two spankings in a row now? The players are back in the ascendancy. :smt023

Yes, I'd agree with that - £9,250 was pretty generous considering there was a 60% chance of a guaranteed decrease, but also not going to be a massive increase on blue/50k finishes. You'd have to be prepared to open the box after no-dealing at 5-box to justify the gamble, really. Which indeed he followed through, and was brave in doing so. Interesting change in thought process, as he contemplated the 9k earlier a lot more than both the £9,250 and £7k which were much stronger for the board in relative terms.

Anyway, I'm pleased I didn't have that game spoilt by my upcoming pilgrim appearance tomorrow and the subsequent FIVE games, it'll be fun to spot myself again! :D

That's true, but then there are cases such as Craig's game, where there were three swap offers in a row...
