Would have liked a £5k/£20k finish and a £20k win there...

This is a finish where I play more aggressively than usual because both values are near inflection points on my utility curve...

Sam talks about the 3 schools she could build with that. Sam's sister tells her that £15,000 is more than she wanted from the game so she will still be a big winner if she plays on. Sam says she needs to work out which she will feel worse about now.

Sam says

NO DEAL

The Banker calls and says that Sam still has one decision to make now.

Banker's offer:

SWAP

Box 3 with Ted contains the £15,000

Sam says she can't believe it. Noel says that we all focus on the £250,000, but Sam has just won the 2nd highest amount on the show, and this is a sensational outcome.

Sam says that she can't put into words what that money is going to do. Sam's dad says that will make such a big difference to the children's lives.

£36k would have been a very quick ND for me too. I'd want nearly £50k to walk there. Conversely on £5k/£100k I would take £36k with scarcely any more hesitation...

Well that's a great result, but I fear for what happens next.

A great sucker punch to the producers for such a joke run of offers early in the game. After that game I wonder if Endemol were regretting lowballing such low offers in the opening rounds. Imagine the character assassination that would have been played out if she had been cautious and dealt at a more reasonable offer of 18k at 14 box.

Woah! Where did that come from?!

I was expecting a cautious 5-box deal after recent games but Sam completely threw that idea out the window! Already there's potential for game of the month! :D

Those were easy No Deals right there. £36k with £15k and £100k? WTF?
But well done to Sam. She is going to change the lives of kids in Kenya and she has £50,000 for herself! :smt051

Also, there were no 4 & 3-box offers and absolutely NO GIMMICKS whatsoever.
Definitely best game of June so far. :D

That makes the win even much sweeter. Winning £100,000 and donating half of it to Charity! I call this for Game of the month.

36K offer was a bit of a joke - surely 48K would have been more appropriate.

Probably the joint best 100K win along with Maria from 2007.

Wow! Have to see this on 4OD later, I knew Sam's background about the charities and stuff, and I thought I'd just see what happened on here first, as I thought it would be particularly horrible viewing if she won a blue. Then this happens!

I think only Michael from Cowboys and Indians week would have failed to win the £100k though, unless you swapped........

I said this last year when Jodie played, but there's a thing about pretty young girls from E2 who play early June. In 2007 there was Penny who sold a £1 box for £22,500, in 2008 sadly it was Tommii in that position, then 2009 it was £75k Amy, and last year Jodie won £41k. And now Sam has topped the lot of them! :)

Well remembered, James. If I get on the show, I would love to be on E2 and win big
