Noel shouts at Irene to sit and wait for the phone to ring! The banker says he's not happy that 3 big reds have been taken so deep into the game. The banker wonders how much it would take to get Irene to China and Australia. He reckons it's £6,000 to China "non-pleb class", and a further £5,000 to Australia, with £1,000 spending money.

Banker's offer:

£12,000

Nowhere near commensurate with the board, still...

Absolutely. 12k is quite disrespectful and obviously targeting her being a low dealing betty/mabel/maureen/dot category lady! Doubt she's much of a gambler so if the next round goes her way then a governor offer should get her out unlike yesterdays game around this stage.

I'd say he's not even trying but I guess he did price up what she said she wanted so there was a possibility it could be taken.

If she leaves them all to 5-box he obviously has shot himself in the foot and has to take notice.

If she takes 1 or both of the top 2 I expect he'll keep the offer low and focus on the trip.

Silly silly banker. He let this happen.

My benchmark here is £30,000+. The 10% disaster chance has to be a consideration.

Well that will leave the banker with a few regrets!

£35k?

No deal obviously. He's clearly banking (get it?, nudge, nudge) on her being a cautious dealer...

I think you have to go for it in this spot.

Way too cheap. With about 12mins to the credits rolling we've got a lot of deliberation before the question.

£24,000 WITH THREE OF THE POWER 5?!
That is an absolutely pathetic offer. :smt019

Is the Banker really that desperate for another huge game when there have been three in two weeks?

Irene says it's a lot of money, and she says she's never had that sort of money. Her husband says it's up to her, as she always makes the right decisions. Her daughter tells her that money is real, but the amounts on the board are not at the moment. Irene says if she won £35,000 she could take her cat on her travels as well.

Noel points out that it's important to play what you're looking at and forget life outside the studio, but he says she's also only here once. The banker phones and talks about lightning striking twice.

Irene says

NO DEAL
