The banker talks about how Matt refused to tell the banker his target earlier. The banker says he'd have offered £30,000 if Matt had said that when he asked him for his target.

Banker's offer:

£17,000

I think £17,000 is an easy deal at this point.

I think £26,000 would have just been enough for me at the previous offer too.

Yes would be sensible to deal 17K.

Matt says £17k is a lot of money, and Noel says it's totally possible to take the 3 reds out and have an all-blue climax. Matt asks Ade, who tells him to think of how much money £17k is. G says Matt should deal if the offer ticks his boxes, but if he's a gambler then he should go for it. The banker rings back and says Matt is likely to have a blue vs red finish, and a blue vs £75k finish wouldn't increase the offer much, and blue vs anything else would push it down.

Matt says

DEAL

Box 14 with newbie Hayley contains the £250

Noel reveals that Matt wrote box numbers "4 and 14" in the book, along with a target of £10k - £20k.

Good game played by Matt there. Funny contestant, just a massive shame that no deal didn't go his way at £26,000.

Decent enough game. Matt was a very likeable chap, who made a brave no deal, a sensible deal and was unlucky to lose by just 3k.

Would definitely have taken the £26k myself but was very glad to see him take the next one - thought he would be yet another one who got carried away post-Suzanne. He'd have had to be well and truly carried away to get to £20k. :D

Very surprised the banker went as high as £26k at 8-box. To be honest, I'd have probably asked for £20k max on that board (I would have gone at about £17k).

The 26K was possibly at the high end of what was likely to be no dealt but going on was still reasonably calculated and left a stable board and the deal at 17K was sensible. Nothing wrong with some considered gambling.

£26k was really unexpected at 8 box and i have to say it would have been enough to get me out of the chair. Very surprised Matt didn't deal given it was well over his target

That said, there was no shame in going on and the £17k was a good consolation prize. Overall a funny good natured game with a likeable contestant
