KP: If we were to add up all total wins of DOND are and get the average... how far away from that average do you reckon dealing early generous offers such as today's would be if were to use that as a long term strategy? With the board being top heavy I find offers generally don't go much above the £10-£15k stage unless there's a very good run of luck. More common is the offers go down and players end up dealing lower amounts to avoid a big gamble.

That's a bit rambly but hopefully you get my point :)

Noel talks about Debs' underwear! Debs says she has a rose quartz and tells a story about how she met her partner while wearing the rose quartz, and believes it brings her love and luck. Noel also says that she still irons her underwear. The Banker says that was a horrific round, but Debs has something about her.

Banker's offer:

£15,000

WTF.

"He's actually sticking at -"

"DEAL"

Noel wouldn't even have finished the sentence.

Debs says he is such a clever man. She says that she remembers in Al's game that she said as long as the £250,000 was still in play she would play on.

Debs says

NO DEAL

I assume Deal Eye would ND the 2nd offer but i'd be highly surprised if it didn't deal there.

That's one of the easiest Deals of the season and she's not made it. Folks, this is why I talk about the concept of an Acceptable Deal Point.

I honestly reckon you'd get people who would say they'd turn that down, but if you first asked them what they'd do with the same offer one all-blue round later, they'd say Deal.

So now we know why the offers were so generous and the early pace so fast. She's completely oblivious to the value of money. Back in 20 minutes to find out what she's won from the box!

Round 4

6 - £750 Michael

13 - £1 Toby

Debs asks a pilgrim to pick a box for her! The pilgrim is really nervous about doing it, but eventually picks her daughter's birthday which is 4. The Banker calls and says that if it is the £250,000 the pilgrim (Emma) will get a bottle of champagne. Noel really lays it on that Emma could now ruin Debs' game!

4 - £250 Newbie Matt

Banker time

Wrong £250 lol.

Well... what's he going to offer here then? I'd usually say £15k seems an appropriate offer. But he has to go up surely...

Couldn't possibly be the £17k he offered Al... could it?

Again, that would feel very low...

Noel says that everyone is terrified now after that! The Banker says that everyone is now nervous, but the only person not showing any nerves is Debs, and that worries him.

Banker's offer:

£26,000

Didn't think it would be the old faithful. Hopefully it won't work... just need to miss the big one in the next round.

It's the welcome return of the Old Governor! ;)

And I'd be seriously tempted to take it...

I'd love a stick here after the all blue!

Surely not £26k.

WTF is the banker playing at. I can only assume he's got a read that she's going to No Deal whatever he offers so he can enjoy a gloat at the end when it crashes.

I guess £26k is only 60%ish of the mean but its such a large amount of money and such a top heavy board. It has to be taken.
