Debs' game today.

Noel says the ripples from Al's game still continue today. He runs through Al's game and how he ended up going home with just £100 after having the courage to play for the £250,000.

I'm stating the obvious here - but after yesterday, the big question is: if Debs gets into a promising situation, will caution take over?

Debs has box 18 today.

Debs is a nurse.Noel asks her about her military side of things and she says that after a year as a nurse she got itchy feet and wanted a challange, then was walking past an army recruitment office one day and thought why not! She signed up for 9 years, but came out after 6 years. She shows us the medal she received while on tour.

Debs doesn't have a system, but will go in her instinct today.

Here we go...

The Banker asks how everyone is feeling today, as he had a party last night after Al's game. He says that Debs is massively different to Al in his mind.

Blimey, that was quick!

And the Banker was surprisingly generous there...

Banker's offer:

£15,000

An opening offer that invites Debs to chase the money on a volatile board if she gets one - possibly intended to try and cancel out the effect of yesterday's game.

The second offer not being £17k is to ensure that the connection between the two games isn't made; I might have expected £17k if the Banker wanted to remind her of that game.

£15k?

I'd be seriously tempted here.

The only thing keeping me going would be hoping the offers continue to be generous. But take out a big value and we start getting drops in the offers. And could spend the game chasing our £15k offer.

Sod it. Second round deal. Why not. I'm taking it.

Round 3

2 - £50 Yvonne

Debs picks Wilf next, but Noel calls a break first...

Now we'll see how the Banker reacts to the changing situation. He just might play this to lose from here, or rather to abdicate his responsibilities in buying the box in favour of engineering INCREDIBLE JEOPARDY, as Bother's Bar would put it.

£12k was a surprisingly generous opening offer considering Debs never touched any of the Banker's Power 5.
Oh, and 2 ad breaks in 20 minutes?! Absolutely pathetic, Channel 4! :smt011

So, at 12-box...

10p
50p
£1
£5
£10

£250

£750

£5,000

£15,000

£50,000
£75,000

£250,000

Clearly, damage has been done by the loss of the £100k - and four of the Banker's Power 5 are still there...

Presumably this means the late game is going to be interesting...

I would be surprised if the Banker even offers the FD this side of 5-box now. Look at the initial hit, look at the reasons to anticipate an early Deal today, and as BankerSpanker implicitly noted, look at the clock...

We'll definitely get a rubbish offer now, and cfd is looking wiser by the second...
