The nice 10% scenario would be great after 2 consecutive bad 10% scenarios

Round 6

Gillian runs through some boxes she wants to keep.

Ron next, and he reveals a useless fact from Ziggy, that an HB pencil can draw a line 35 miles long!

11 - Ron - £20,000

2 - Iain - £15,000

3 - Michael - £5

Banker time with £1 and £100 remaining...

Gillian wins £1 from her box 4.

Box 14 with Al contains the £100

Gillian says never mind, that's the way the cookie crumbles!

The banker rings and says he has tickets on his desk, for an all-inclusive trip to Disneyland, and he and his butler will have the holiday of their lifetimes!

The luck just isn't with the players at the moment. If the players were making bad decisions and then having the boxes go the wrong way, at least you could blame bad decision-making but there hasn't been a really bad crucial decision in the last 3 days.

Bad luck to the very end... :( :( :(

And then, predictably, the Banker creates a feel-good ending... oh, wait, no he doesn't... :( :( :(

A horrible way to end a generally horrible week. :( :( :(

You've got to admire Gillian for remaining cheerful right throughout...

No need to rub it in like that you pesky Banker! :smt011

Still, terrible game. That's three blue wins on Sunday in a row. Surely, things have to turn around sooner or later.

I have to admit I like the cruelty by The Banker for doing that. Giving the assumption of giving her the tickets as a consolation prize but to whip them away from her nose. :-D

Caught the game from 8-box onwards. Seems like a pretty unavoidable trainwreck - £4k at 5-box wasn't a bad offer, in fact it was about as much as most players would get offered at that stage with that board, but it was worth a punt at a good finish.

Credit to Gillian for taking a bad game well, and for not letting that final insult of a phone call get to her. I did think 2 tickets to Disneyland would be over-generous for a handout, which proved to be the case. Are these random acts of spite meant to spur players on to want to beat him? A bit of me thinks just as many players would find them intimidating :blueponder

Something's gotta be done about this bad luck...I suggest a week where £1,000 is the blue amount and the only blue amount on the left side, all 11 of them and £2,000 replacing the red £1,000. Perhaps that will help matters...

That's every Gillian who's played has won a blue isn't it? There was Gill who swapped £10k for a blue as well!

And we all thought Irenes had terrible luck......

It was hard for the banker to manufacture a twist for the Disney tickets when she'd only won £1. Even at 2-box with £100 as a maximum, it would have stunk of not being a worthy thing to do.

If we're including Gills - then the Gill who played in January 2006 did OK, she got £11,000.
