Ziggy says "no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no" and wonders why he didn't listen to Wednesday.

Box 8 with Dean contains the £5,000

Ziggy says at least he still has £6,000.

Oh my days.

Hugely generous offer that pretty much had to be taken, and he hits the 10% chance. No criticism from me.

Why didn't he listen to Wednesday?

As soon as I heard Toby mention the "one box at a time", I was like "NO, NO, NO, NO!!"

Oops!

To be fair, he only had to take out the 35k to get a TPW, so the deal wasn't that bad. Still, I liked Ziggy, and I'm glad he got a reasonable sum out of that game.

So far this week, the players cannot seem to get an OPW!

Ziggy said they went out for 10 months and then he messed it up, and was hoping to get back with her. After the way today went, if he doesn't get a sympathy bonk out of that, it's a very poor do ;)

A couple of good lines from Noel which I'll use in a future mash-up. Firstly, when he asked Wednesday if she'd found other days of the week, beyond her friend Tuesday - Noel: "Is it not something you can achieve through the internet, these days?"

And late on, to Ziggy - Noel: "And he certainly doesn't want you to go big." ;)

Drat! Drat! And triple drat! :(

Can't disagree that that £6k offer was generous - not only was there just one amount bigger, but also the average was just over £8k - and I'd have taken it too.

But this hasn't been a good week at all, has it?

A bizarre system that was never explained and an OPW that wasn't satisfying, a defeatist deal and a resounding OBW thanks to plenty of stings in the tail, another resounding OBW thanks to influence from a partner who definitely wasn't the sharpest tool in the box... and now a deal that looks like a good move statistically, but ultimately ends up completing a hat-trick of resounding OBWs... :(

And just like with Shannon two weeks ago, Tanya's act of caution has been the high point... :?

As I'm a newbie to this forum, can you please tell me what OPW, OBW (and one of them I saw before had a T in there too) are, please?

Go to 'Game Scoring (originally from Bother's Bar)' in the Statistics page. They're basically posh terms for game results, like an OPW is a Banker Spanking!

An interesting game. Ziggy's been one of my favourites on the wings and i was really looking forward to his game. He proved as entertaining as i'd hoped but the luck wasn't with him

Wednesday was a delight, one of the best F&F's i've seen on the show in a while, does anyone else wish she'd applied for the show herself? She was pretty much the antithesis of Tom yesterday and i thought she was going to persuade Ziggy into going all the way at one point.

Having said that, once the Banker upped the 5 box offer to over £5k then dealing was the logical thing to do. Can't fault Ziggy's reasoning there, even if he was beating himself up about it afterwards

Nope and the thing is (and I mean this in the nicest way) the contestants poorly-timed decisions and the bad luck don't really make a good week. We need another Christmas-2008-ish period to get the big wins rolling in and the show back on track.

Thanks to everyone for the info and the link.

As an aside, seeing the '50 shows Lucy' I've always found it a bit odd when some contestants wait ages and some get their chance very quick. I didn't even remember Dougie when he had his show, the other day.

Second day running that the player hits the nightmare proveout out round and leaves and all-red finish.

Enjoyable game - rare for the F&F to be right but for the player not to take their advice but the deal was sensible (and above the EW for the 2-box offer).

Also a game that shows how little you should pay attention to feelings and lucky numbers, he picks 5 numbers at the start that ended up have 1p, £1, £500, £3k and £5k and then says he doesn't think he has the £35k on the table when he did in fact.

My fourth game of the day. I had been chatting to Lynne - she was sitting next to the only heater in the audience room - and I realised Ziggy's game was due and hotly anticipated. As several people have said, Wednesday was a contrast to Tom.
I thought the £6K deal was the right thing to do but as it turned out Ziggy had real regrets. He was still sitting with his head in his hands as we left the studio. Apart from the disappointment of having a power 5 in his box I think he felt he hadn't played as he had planned - that he had been swept up in the game.

I finally got away back to my daughter's at 7pm feeling I had had a good day. Looking back it was four games with smile money - no disasters and no big wins.

That's really interesting, because I've always been under the impression from contestants that it is far more common to regret an unsuccessful No Deal than an unsuccessful Deal... Ziggy was the opposite, and since then we've had some very aggressive play... wonder if the producers poured on the pressure after that? Maybe they didn't even need to...

Of course you didn't stay long enough to see how Gillian, and the other following players, reacted unedited... but that would have been a very interesting night in the hotel.
