To illustrate that it's not as strong an 8-box board as it might look:

£10
£50

£250

£1,000
£3,000

£20,000

£50,000

£250,000

And let's not forget that if the £250k goes, the Banker will probably get mean again, like he was at the first offer... :?

We're back

Round 5

Noel says that was a huge decision, as so many people wanted Jack to deal there.

22 - Tanya - £20,000

19 - Shannon - £250

12 - Ian - £50,000

Banker time

Oh, no - absolute one-box game now... :? :? :?

I did say the board wasn't as strong as it might have looked... ;)

Noel says the offer won't be over £40,000 now, but at least he still has the £250,000. The banker talks about the shocked look of the pilgrims, and he tells Jack not to put them through any more pain! Noel tells Jack to concentrate on his initial thoughts over this offer.

Banker's offer:

£14,000

Jack says he's a bit superstitious and didn't like £13,000 because of 13, but £14,000 sounds good to him. He says his late godson Anthony's number was 7, and he has box 7, and wonders if it has £250,000 in it.

Jack says

DEAL

Good move regardless what happens. :)

That board is just too dangerous.

Round 6 - proveout

Jack is keeping 4 to the end.

9 - Bev - £50

Noel yells at someone who clapped!

18 - Sarah - £10

"OHH NOOOOO!" shouts Noel.

The banker phones and says he'd have phoned here, to say the next offer would've either been £2,000 or £82,000.

10 - Tara - £1,000

Banker time with £3,000 and £250,000 remaining...

Noel says this is the same final 2 as Laura who won the £250,000. The banker can be heard partying.

Banker's offer would've been:

£82,000

Noel says Jack got that spectacularly wrong.

Noel asks if Jack would've swapped here and he wouldn't have.

Jack has £3,000 in his box 7.

Being brave for one more round and it would have paid off. Good job the £250k wasn't on the table!

Box 4 with Hilde contains the £250,000

The banker phones and says that's the shortest party he ever had! Noel says it's not a banker spanking but Jack says he feels absolutely fantastic.

I can guess it would hurt you more to miss out on an additional £68k by not taking a Graeme-esque gamble, than to drop £11k by not leaving box 4 to the end... ;) ;) ;) ;)

That wasn't a smart move, sure it looked ropey but you've had to be very unlucky to hit the 20% chance of the jackpot found, for that board £14,000 was still not enough to be even considered dealing

£82,000 at 2-box? Don't make me laugh! I find that hard to believe! And would you believe it, my lucky number lets me down but at least I would have the thrill! :P

20% ????
It was 60% to find the QM from 5 box. Plus if you reckon £250k/blue is about £70k then £82k isnt out of the question.

Jeepers H Crackers, it may not have been the right move, but it wasn't a stupid one either!!!

And you've got to admit, it was a surprise that the Banker went up there - that last round was, as Noel likes to put it sometimes, "one box away from a complete disaster"... ;) ;)

And if the £250k had gone, then the amount won at the end wouldn't have even been one-quarter of £14k... ;)

OK don't forget with regards to that first offer it wasn't the Banker being harsh as such, the conversation was Jack made him sick and his feelings were jokingly represented with that low offer, given it was the first offer too

Great game nevertheless...the Banker showed his true colours by increasing the offer despite the backup going in the fifth round; respecting Jack but not paying over the odds to get him out of the chair. With the £3,000 on the table, the only downer was he didn't find the £250,000 in the last round else it'd have been a Spanking :)

Tbh, the sudden offer rise doesn't surprise me anymore, since I can tell by how much time is left on the show
