Kim's friend says that it is a gamble now. Kim says that there is no shame in going at the lowest offer, but she also has a good feeling about today. Chris tells her the next 5 minutes could totally change her life.

Kim says

NO DEAL

I think we know what's coming here... the old faithful. If it is, then hopefully it won't work.

Hopefully she's brave to go for it.

I would probably go on here. Mind you, the box I would have left was 50p... ;)

The Banker adds that if Kim plays on he will allow her to swap her box as well. Kim asks her friend to join her at the pound table. Kim says she would be devastated if she went home with £1.

Kim says

DEAL

Noel asks Kim if she would have swapped.

Kim initially says she would, but changes her mind and says he box was her destiny, so would have kept her box

Noel opens box 18 and reveals £1

There isn't a chance in hell that she wouldn't have swapped if she'd said "No Deal". So the banker has saved himself 80K there.

£20k? :smt019
Rubbish offer. I would've offered the old Governor £26k, it was the right board for it. Dale had a similar board with £250 rather than £1 and was offered £26k.

Why offer £26,000 if you are so sure she will deal for £20,000. That's the whole point of The Banker, offering the money as little as possible. He doesn't use the board for someone like Kim, he uses the player's current life situation to place the offer. Which is why there isn't many board readers on the show.

I wasn't surprised at the £20K offer. With the risk of a small blue many players would take any chunky wodge of money even though it isn't near the mean.

Well at least she went further unlike yesterday's player, an OPW at last!

In the past we've had offers of £30k+ with the £100k and a blue on the table so £20k was well tight, IMO and worth going on with the guaranteed swap.

I personally think she would have swapped in live play given the significance she placed on Tom's box throughout the game

£20k was a bit stingy but just thank your lucky stars we didn't get the mini-governor of £16k today (and thank goodness she refused the hypo-swap and denied the feel-bad ending).

Yet another repeated box value as well. Last ten games in order have been the 5 £50's, the £250k and then 2 x £35k and 2 x £1.

Noel's memory is going again. Just before Olivia's game he said he couldn't remember someone who had had such high reds - it's not that long ago that he named Charlotte "HMS Belfast".

With less than five minutes left when she was offered £20k, it was obvious that she would deal. ;)

And I have to agree entirely with Travis - why should the Banker offer Old Faithful if he is so sure the player will deal for less?

Just before the first break Noel said there was another reason why Kim wanted to come on DoND. Except we never did find out why. :ponder: Obviously due to time constraints they edited it out.
