Banker's offer would've been:

£8,000

Meh, it was still too big a risk.

So hope it's the blue in his box and it's not. Luck just isn't with the players right now.

Should have been brave for one more round and then it would have either been £8k or most probably the £20k.

Another non-brave player.

Box 16 with Charlotte contains the £5

Ade says he's choked but he didn't feel brave enough to carry on, but £4,000 will do an awful lot for his family.

We seem to be getting a series of players who can't avoid to take risks getting precarious boards.

Given the board, I can understand Ade's decision to take £4,000. With a 1 in 3 chance of taking out the £20K it's a HUGE risk.

Yes, £5 and 1p were loads of back-up weren't they?

That was really painful, but I did really like how much he appreciated the £4k and how greatful he was for it. At 8-box he was only being offered 10% of that, so that for me is still a very good result! I reckon he may just have gone on one for box if he'd hit one of the blues rather than the £3k just before he dealt sadly!

I was convinced he would win nowt at the start anyway becuase a) I liked him and b) his finiancial situation, that usually seems to happen!

I wasn't expecting the offer to go up to £4,000. I thought maybe it would be something like £3,002.

On this occasion, that's a pretty harsh comment.

I'd have dealt that £4k too - the prospect of double that amount for avoiding the £20k was tempting alright, but there was also the possibility of a 1p/£5 finish...

No sensible player would have won £20k today, so no complaints at avoiding the blue win there.

The loss of the £100k killed this game, for me...such a poor game to end the week

The board did much of the Banker's work for him there. Doesn't matter that Ade had £20k in his box because he had absolutely nothing to back it up. I do wonder how differently that would have worked out had the Banker not been generous enough to offer him the one-box-at-a-time final round, Would he have cut his losses and dealt at 5 box? Or gone on and won £8k?

When Ade took out the £3k mid round I thought the best he could hope for would be for the Banker to stick so when he actually went up then as far as i was concerned it pretty much had to be a deal, especially given the 2in3 chance there was a blue in his box.

No complaints about the way either Ade or the Banker played the game from this corner

Apparently Phoenix and Vicki were wearing Haribo sweet rings (one each) on their hands. Did anyone spot this? :ponder:

Well i've just had a look and spotted this from Vicki -

I can't see anything on Phoenix's right hand and need to get a better look at his left hand to confirm.

Well we are approaching Love Week!

Mirroring KP's comments here...at very most you'd have won £8,000 today (myself included) so yet again it'd be another Banker win anyway...

Apparently it's on Phoenix's right hand but I can't really see it. :ponder:

Well here's another picture I took, but again I can't seem to see anything on Phoenix's right hand.

Maybe there was some better shots of Phoenix's hands, but I can't actually be bothered to watch the whole episode again just to be on "Phoenix Hand Watch". :eyes:

What's the significance of the rings anyway?
