OUCH! That is serious bad luck right there.
I'd hate to see Andy be left with an all blue 5-box with 1p, 10p & 50p still there. And £1,300 = :smt019

£35k or a blue. Unfortunately even if he avoids the £35k his offer is going to be so low he will be forced to the end.
The banker can smell victory already (and that wasn't a joke about his pants!). Btw that was a harsh one-liner from Noel after the £250k was revealed.

And after yesterday's game, the luck disappears again...we need a period where it stays longer than just one game

Noel says no-one's won the 1p yet this year. The banker says he wants to give Andy something to think about.

Banker's offer:

£2,500

The banker says if Andy deals, he has to cut his pants up.

Andy's friend George joins him at the pound table. George says a cautious player would deal, but Andy is more likely to seize the day. Andy talks about what the £35,000 would do for him.

Andy says

NO DEAL

16 - Leanne - £10

Banker time with 10p and 50p remaining

Andy says he quite likes the idea of dealing now. Andy wonders if he pretends to no deal, whether the banker will throw in a pair of new boxers. The banker rings back and speaks to Andy and says he's convinced!

New offer...

Banker's offer:

26p

Box 19 with Adam contains the 50p

Andy says he had 3 goals and selling the box for more than it's worth was one of them!

The only viable get-out was at five-box, and very few would have taken advantage of it any time, let alone after yesterday.

The players now have two totally different games in their minds, and that should lead to moderate gameplay in the immediate future.

Oh dear... At first I thought that was the largest TBW of all time (his peak offer was more than 51,000 times what he dealt at), but then I realised that the "honour" goes to 4p Mark (his peak offer being 500,000 times what he dealt at).

More or less an unavoidable trainwreck. The only dealable offer (apart from the last one for comedy value...) was 2.5k, and in that case, IMO it'd be more painful dealing there and finding 35k in the box than going on and losing the lot. Oh well, at least Andy managed to get some humour out of it in the end... :)

Absoulutely horrible game luckwise but a player with the right attitude when it went wrong which made it somewhat enjoyable.

A rather sobering game hot on the heels of yesterday's megawin. Poor Andy's playful request that every one say ' hope it's the penny' became something of an albatros around his neck by the end.

But i do admire a player who can take a trainwreck on the chin like that and in his own way Andy deserves plaudits for getting the Banker to double that final offer  .

Dale's game justifiably overshadows the other two but that's actually three memorable finishes to the show in as many days what with Zowie's husband ganging up with the Banker and now Andy's clever bluff. Shows like this remind us that it's not just the big wins and the Banker Spankings that make the difference between a regular episode and a classic, it's the heart and personallity of the player.

Andy was a legend on the wings and while his luck wasn't there today he will not be forgotten.

Thought the pants were a bit of a jokey homage to those who bring bits of personal tatt that the banker sometimes buys for an overinflated offer.

If they were really that lucky, why wasnt he wearing them for his game?!
