Dave's game today.

Noel says it was a sensational week last week with contrasting games. He goes along the wings and tells us a little about the contestants.

Dave is a geography teacher from Glasgow. Dave tells us how he really enjoyed geography as he had an amazing georaphy teacher at school. Dave has an unusual object with him and gets everyone to guess what it is, and someone gets it right that it is a wooden pillow, and he tells us about the tribes that use it. Dave then gives us a demonstration of the pillow by lying on the floor. Dave shows us a picture of a tribe he lived with for 2 years while teaching, and then we see some of his family pics. Dave has his girlfriend in the studio for support today.

What an amazing run Beryl is having says Noel, as she has never had a blue so far. The Banker says that Noel needs to apologise to Beryl as he called her Betty in the intro! The Banker says that Dave is a fascinating guy, and he has provided 3 genuine surprises, his interest in his work, the emotion when his name was called, and also his hot girlfriend!

Noel starts to tell a story about Dave when he was a football referee where he booked one of the kids playing, and Dave says he had to book him as tackles were flying in, and after the game the kids parents came up to him and started to have a go and then punched him!! The Banker calls back and says that it wasn't even his son when he did that!

You took the words right out of my mouth. I was thinking about 14k, but maybe they were scared of an early deal? Even though hes taken out the 250k he's still got a reasonable board.

Noel talks about some of Dave's dreams, he would like to give his mum and dad a holiday, put a deposit on a house, and also start putting money aside for a self-sustaining school in africa.

Beryl has been a bit of a Black Widow and Tomas has been the Terminator since he joined! He had the 250k today and in the last week ; 50k(scott) 50k (Mia) 250k(Jim).

And now it's a struggle now to get good money out the game.

That was just horrible and very bad news says Noel. The Banker says that was just about as bad as it gets.

That second offer was basically the Banker going "oh *beep*, that first offer was a bit much wasn't it? I might actually have to hold these offers back now..."

I think the higher earlier offers are designed to ensure that players who face crashes in the middle rounds chase the high early offers to the end, but if that's the intention, the risk is that someone actually takes that offer and suddenly the show is reduced to what in the new format will be 30+ minutes of Noel instigating a character assassination.

£250k going at least ensures nobody will be surprised at the 11-box joke. £100k going, doubly so. Is it a joke? You betcha.

Yes. Odds on his best offer in the game is £11,500. He only needs to knock out the 20k and 35k and his going home with a blue. Lets hear Noel give one of his bravery speeches now.
