Why do I sense that she didn't really want to play on here, and is going to be still stewing on that £250k at the next call?

That was the wrong 100 says Noel, and it was nearly a Scott type disaster. The Banker points out he tried to tell Mia to deal the £20,000, and it is possible for Mia to do more damage in the next round. He says he saw Mia mouth to her mum that she has to play to the end now.

Banker's offer:

£15,000

Well as usual with just one blue in play and four reds... two of the power five, worth going on.

Well if there weren't regrets before there will be now. Ouch!

Generous bailout offer deliberately ensures regret is minimised. In fairness, the 20k was well short of the board's value, but still...

Noel says that is a great offer when you consider the Banker does halve the offer when the £250,000 goes normally. Mia really struggles with the decision, and gets a lot of advice from the wings. Andy tells Mia that the safety net has now gone if she does play on.

Mia says

DEAL

That is totally amazing as we have had the nightmare round 2 days in a row says Noel

Banker's offer would've been:

£500

Rina with box 12 contains the £100

Noel asks Mia why she didn't deal at £20,000, and Mia says that she couldn't deal with the board she had, as she had 4 of the power 5 still in play.

And that's how generous offers can lead to feel-good television!

I have to agree that the offers were pretty pants in this game. At five box Scott had 50p, £100, 15k, 35k and 75k and that's when he got offered 20k. The generosity of it and his subsequent no deal, fuelling the critisism he received on the net and Noel's opening intro on today's show. Mia, by contrast, had a stronger five box with £100, £1000, 15k, 50k and 75k and she only got offered 15k here. I agree with comments that her 8 box offer should have been higher than 20k. 26k at the very least. Still at least she won in the end.

The way she deliberated at the 2nd offer they were worried she would be an early dealer, hence the low offer at 8 box of 20k - should have been nearer 30k imho.
Nice of the Banker to let on to Noel over the phone that she only had the 1k and hence he virtually told her to deal

Well the £15k offer seemed generous because the £20k offer was awful.

3 days running now that the top 3 amounts have been found from 5-box to 2-box which is a 1 in 1000 chance (i.e we'd expect it to happen about once every 3.5 years). Thankfully, 2 of those 3 days have followed a deal. If Mia and Hannah had no dealt, I think we'd all be quite annoyed.

Noel really did not like Scott, did he? Called him "cocky" again during today's introduction... :?

Anyway, a very good game with Mia, even if the offers before 5-box were pants (especially that £20k) and the fish and duck jokes were, in all honesty, a bit on the tired side...

It's 1 in 1000 that a 1 in 10 chance happens 3 days running.

Agreed. They always pitch offers lower if they think a deal might be in the air. Look back a few days to Sobias board which was arguably worth more than the £70k offer, yet she dealt. The offer of £20k should have been the guvnor, but she showed her hand earlier in the game. Just goes to prove you shouldn't give away your game strategy if you can help it. Of course with bubbly excitable players who don't eat fish, that doesn't come easy. :ponder:

In the 'Round from hell' I was amused when the audience and her nan clapped after she opened the £250k AND the £100k. The bailout was probably about right if you ignored the previous offer.

Noel was on top form with the innuendos today and im surprised he didn't suggest her having a quickie :bluelol. If he had seen American Pie I think he may have laughed more when the banker suggested a Macdonalds apple pie :smt046

He wasn't keen on Scott either!!!

Today if Mia had dealt at £15k but there had been £75k in the box he'd have criticised her for not being an OHO, he can't have it both ways!

I don't think many people would have dealt £20k with the 8 box configeration Mia had, though personally i wouldn't have blamed her if she had - especially after the shows we've had this week. But that £15k was certainly well worth considering, especially coming on the back of such a painful round

Interesting that we saw the worst possible final round for the 3rd day in a row, echoes of Hannah's game with that timely bailout just befofe the proverbial hit the fan, and of course also reminiscent of Grace's game in the Banker's attempts to wind the player up.

A good fun game, though i'm never going to be able to look at Andy in quite the same way again!
