Good game but 70k was a bad offer for the board, as was 26k for the five box. A bit suprised the banker kept the offers low for those two as he had been quite generous with the previous offers, but he was obviously pushing her on, which she ultimately rebuffed. Still, 70k is a good win for deal and I can see the point regarding 15k being a good fallback but dissapointing next to 70k.

I wonder if she would have taken the gamble if 50k had been left. Obviously the last offer would have been greater at that point but surely she would have gone for it though?

Just a quick question, what is happening in May? Someone has alluded to something earlier and its got me curious!

Somone on here has done a mathimatical calculation to work out when the next £250,000 will be won.

Then again, since the Australian celebrated their first $200K winner in June 2004. It had taken them six years to celebrate their second (I'm not counting the celebrity who also won it in 2007).

Yes, it's based on the date that is as far away from Alice's game as hers was from Laura's.
Judging from this game, it will take a deux ex machina of similar proportions to hers to produce another one. Have May games even been taped yet?

I wonder whether the £70k offer was pitched sufficiently low to try and make the no deal more attractive. It certainly wasn't as obvious a ploy as in Laura and Alice's games but it can't be ruled out.

A disgusting display of sickening cowardice, glad she got her nose rubbed in it.

I thought that too. Thinking back over the past year, Del got offered the same at 2-box with a blue on the board, and he'd only turned down a few grand more than Sobia prior to that, as had Alex who was offered £88k!

I'm not a member of Facebook (and don't want to be!) so can't click that link, but I agree with the sentiments.

However what I posted above has absolutely nothing to do with racism (as that same user posted more or less exactly the same thing about Danielle and Glenn too) but I think the "pathetic stupid early dealers" posts are totally uncalled for, they are just needlessly abusive and offensive and I can't stand them. At the end of the day, it's the contestants money and they can do whatever they want, same goes if they want to no-deal very good offers (though hardly anyone seems to be agressive towards people like that)!

If I do say anything bad on here about certain contestants it's due to personality traits I dislike or how they behave on the show, not with how early or late someone deals!!

The thing is though, if you go on any programme, you're putting yourself out there for what the viewing public thinks. Good or bad, it gets people talking and of course, it goes over the top with a few

Hi James i did not take the post to be rasist but i did think it was sad someone felt they had to post something this petty about another.
Killersbee i agree, you should see some of the posts made about me and my never shutting up   but some of the things (a very small few ) made about Sobia were based on her colour and nothing else, that i don't find acceptable xx

Well, I wasn't really paying attention to the banter cause I know that it sometimes comes with who plays and what the game will unfold. ;)

I pay a bit more attention to the strength of the board throughout the game and what the offers from The Banker are and 75% of the time (Roughly), it's always below to what I consider offering

Likewise and I try not to be influenced by the previous offer(s), especially the joke offers or if they have latched onto a special number mentioned by the player. The first two offers are almost irrelevant to any game in as much as no player has ever dealt. If they have a good power five they will play on - if they have killed off the power five they will play on!

In case of point of Sobias game, ultimately we know she had the £250k in her box. Her offers were £7100, £12500, £14750, £17000, £26000, £70000. It could be argued that by the time of the £17000 she had lost three big numbers from the power five. Cautious players would have thought their luck might run out at this stage and we have seen many drop out with the £250k still on the board. Even yesterday Jules still had £250k in play, yet she dealt one round before revealing it. Is Sobia braver than Jules or is Sobia just lucky?

We wouldn't be even talking in such length about Sobia if she had gone on to reveal £250k at the same time as Jules. Sobia would have joined the forgotton army of those who played on and luck meant they didn't have the £250k. She will however be remembered as the lady who had missed her chance to open her box with the £250k in. Its why we keep on watching DOND. :-D

Sobia is just another contestants added to the very long list of people who should've won it

The whiole time I've been thinking, if Sobia had been a bloke, Noel's opening rant the next day would probably have gone up to the first ad break... :bluelol

A very long list??? Care to name them. I don't think there's a huge amount of games where I would have won £250k. Not everybody who has kept the £250k to the end has had boards that would automatically suggest it being worth the gamble.
