That was the wrong 250 says Noel, and this would be so cruel if the game was about to turn around.

Banker's offer would've been:

£22,000

Hopefully the bankers gamble, but very much doubt it.

Noel runs through all the dreams that Ashley could have seen come true if she played on!

Banker's offer would've been:

£67,500

ARGH! NO!

Surely that deal isn't going to turn out to be worse than Tolleck's?!

Noel does a massive build up before opening the box!

Noel opens Ashley's box 16 and reveals £10

Wow what a relief says Noel.

Ashley says if the Banker offered the Banker's Gamble she would have taken it!

Haroon with box 6 contains the £250,000

Oh dear, that wasn't a very smart deal...deals at either 5-box or 2-box would've been more ideal to the average player, this guy must've been very cautious

This Ashley was a lady!

It was a clever offer, though - it was very possible that she could have played on and lost the £250k, in which case an OPW wouldn't have been possible in any way...

But I do agree, it wasn't very smart considering she said that she believed she was due a run of blues...

My fault...shows how much I watch the show these days, the lack of bag wins gets kind of repetitive for me

Before anyone castigates her:

Ahmed dealt for exactly the same amount with an isolated £250k. Only he did it at 5-box!!!

Ovie dealt for less on exactly the same board and it's forgotten becuase he hit it before 5-box.

And Tolleck had £35k back-up!!!!

Good post James. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
A lot of cases you can weigh up the odds, and likely next offers etc etc. But with that scenario, it was really just a case of the player having to decide what the money meant to them, clearly to her it was a good deal of money and not to be sniffed at. A few years ago I would have dealt too, today, with improved finances, I would have gone on.

Very shrewd move by the Banker there, have to hand that one to him. The £250k was dangerously isolated and pitching the offer above the £5k back up made it seem a lot more appealing, I can't say I blame Ashley for dealing, especially given the way her luck was running. It's just a shame she couldn't hit the big one in the proveout

It wasn't a wonderful offer at 8-box but most players wouldn't care less about Tolleck's £9k deal and if she couldn't face going away with a low amount, I can see why she dealt. If I was her, my regret would have been missing out on the £22k at 5-box as it was only a 25% chance from 8-box to keep the QM in play to 2-box. Had she been offered the £1k the banker claimed he was thinking of at 8-box, that would have been an insult and screaming of trying to force a big win.

Thankfully, it wasn't on the table and the red run continues.
