Funny as Dai's game (From the Desert Island Deal era) was on More4 at lunchtime where he also won £10k on a £5/£10k climax and peaked at £13,500

What an odd game - went from great to awful to OK again! Just wish the boxes had been a bit kinder in the 4th and 5th rounds, as he seemed the sort of player who could have scared the banker into a huge offer by taking some calculated but not reckless no-deals. But a great relief for the £10k, and the wingers will do pitch invasions for all sorts these days.

Those 4 boxes from 9 box to 5 box robbed us of what could have been an epic battle today.

£15k was a very generous offer and the only reason I could see for turning it down was that the board was stable and AJ was going to get a good 5-box offer barring the disaster of a round he had.

The 2-box offer was low enough that it seemed the banker pitched it knowing AJ would turn it down. 2nd day running that a red box win was a relief albeit for different reasons.

Given that he's been such a rock on the wings AJ deserved better luck but as we all know luck has no respect for the individual.

Funnily enough the moment he said 'I'm here for the Spanking' I thought AJ had jinxed himself and sure enough he went on to have the worst possible round and ensure a spanking was completely out of the question.

Still a decent comeback and that £10k was certainly well earned.

10% chance of disaster hit yesterday and now 1.8% chance of disaster hit today.
