Glenn's fiancée joins him at the pound table. Glenn says the number 44 means a lot to him and his fiancée says that £44,000 would change everything. Toyin says he had said to Glenn that morning that he thought the £250,000 would end up in his back pocket. Noel talks about what Glenn wants the money for, and asks when will Glenn ever have the chance again to be able to fulfil those dreams on an afternoon in November?

Glenn says

DEAL

Should have been SO MUCH more brave. He had his chance, he blew it. Should have had more faith in the prediction as they can come true...

He blew it big, big BIG TIME...

Box 10 with Alexandra contains the £75,000

Glenn says that money will still help towards the money, and he could've ended up winning £1,000 at the point he dealt.

I'm pretty disgusted at this cowardice actually, I don't want anyone on here defending this contestant.

And yet another 'so near, yet so far' situation.

Myself, at £44,000 would have been in a bit of a quandary as to whether to deal or go that extra mile but with the power three still there, I'd have gone all or nothing most likely.

I can count three males who have almost made it, had they gone that extra mile. It's got to happen sometime surely? :?

Phil.

I WISH NOEL WOULD F***ING STOP PLAYING AROUND WITH THE OFFERS!!!!!

I don't find it funny at all, and nor do I think it's a good way of creating suspense and excitement.

Who agrees with me?

And how on earth did the Banker know that the number 44 meant a lot to Glenn?

It is suspenseful, because at the initial offer, I was thinking "WHAT?!"

Even £44,000 was disgusting; Richard and Alan had all-red five-boxes with the big three, weaker than this one and got offers north of £70,000 (one was admittedly hypothetical, the other being a Christmas Star, but still!!)

He didn't; £44,000 was his previous offer, doubled

I think the banker was being honest when he said he just felt like doubling the number 22 (from the last offer), as he often doubles and halves the offers where he sees fit.

Failing that, Glenn may have spoken about the number 44 to someone and the info got passed to the banker.

Most of the time I would defend people if it was possible to drop from a life-changing sum like £44k to more-or-less nothing, I mean look what happened to Zaid who went from £36k to a blue on a similar but slightly weaker 5-box, I felt sick for him - but the difference with this is even the 10% chance of disaster would have still been most likely mid 4-figures, then the next-worst 2--box was £75k/£1k which is still excellent money.

So yes, I feel that was a massive anti-climax, it should have been the biggest unaccomplished milestone left on the show and game of the century, and even modertae players and not just out-and-out Wakeyists could have got the £250k!!!!

I still can't believe he dealt, that 5-box was a once in a lifetime board and should have been snapped up. I somehow knew right away he made the wrong decision by dealing. Not too happy about that result.

Ah, but how do we know he could have got the £250k James? In live play he would have been offered the swap, which he might have taken, they didn't offer a "hypethetical" swap, so we will never know.
Oh and Alexander..., your comment could be construed by some people as bullying. I actually thought it about a 50/50 decision or maybe 60/40 in his favour that he would get more at the next offer, given his circumstances, the deal was fairly understandable.
