Noel apologises because he didn't sleep well last night, as he had a nightmare that he was trapped in the Dark Woods with some disgusting monsters, and he had hooves and horns! He then realises he still has a horn stuck to his head.

FIrst proper post for years! Shouldn't it be the birthday show??

I heard somewhere that the birthday show was going to be later in November.

Presumably enough time for them to rewrite history by creating a male quarter-millionaire 'before the show's fifth birthday' as Noel desperately pleaded. Endemol have form here; they called BB's ninth anniversary its tenth.

Christine has box 5.

Christine is a retired landlady, auctioneer and market seller from the Midlands. She talks a bit about when she did those jobs, and she introduces us to her husband who is in the audience. Noel says he was given 6 months to live many years ago due to lung cancer, and he's still here. Christine says she has dreams and ambitions that centre around her husband.

Christine has a small red box with her with number 10 on it, and she says it was part of a DoND game she had on her birthday, and her grandchildren made the box. She says the top prize was £250, and box 10 had the £250, and she'll win the £250,000 today! She says that if she ever met Noel, she'd give him a munch! She gives Noel a munch, which involves a hug and a peck on the cheek.

There's not a lot that can be said about this - no excitement whatsoever from the board or offers.

Still, at least we should get at least a two-box game at eight-box, and it's acceptable to deal at that point again...

I think it's to avoid immediately going from the Halloween shows to the birthday special. A few years ago, they had a week of Halloween specials and then immediately had the birthday special, and it all felt a bit rushed. By celebrating the birthday in early November, they separate the Halloween specials from the birthday special(s).

It's rather unfortunate that the actual birthday of the show is on Halloween itself!
