As if an opening round that tears apart the middle of the board wasn't dramatic enough, we get a pigeon intervention. Fantastic Banker joke, and the 17-box offer, in a twist week, is practically dealable. Which is even more astonishing than the pigeon.
And after a £6.50 second round, the Banker has no choice but to give Christopher a genuine decision, a full three rounds before the ADP. Oops. There we go, distraction through making it a comedy offer.
Crikey, the Banker is actually trying to buy the box today. However, the top four will lure him on. Expect an eight-box joke.
Well we certainly won't avoid one now. Especially when Noel tells Christopher explicitly to "think about 5-box". Excellent comedy at the eight-box offer, though, and it's not even that bad an offer, suggesting the producer is confident that Christopher will gamble anyway. Which he does... the round goes to plan with precisely one of the big three going, the twist goes his way, and one-to-open probably just about tips the balance (I'd be gone with three to open).
First box works out, offer goes the other side of twenty grand, it's the same as yesterday with upscaled values, I think that'd do me. Christopher plays on, entirely valid also... and what about that!
With a five-figure offer guaranteed barring idiotic Banker play, I'd play on here if anything, and I think he will, too. Mark suggests that the blue/£100k finish would trigger a stick, which is more plausible than it ought to be, and might well be the difference-maker. Christopher goes on too... WAHEY!
Talk about one-to-open making the difference there - it was so much easier to play on with two big amounts and one box to open, and now he's only gone and kept them both! Christopher admits he very nearly stopped, and normally I'd be the party pooper here, but there are no regrets now, only joy.
The first six-figure win through legitimate play to have been recorded since the economy officially entered recession, I believe...!
