Couldn't see the banker offering £101k even on that finish - would probably have been nearer £70k (à la Eddie) in an attempt to make her go for the biggie. He could probably have rung and said that offer and got the same reaction, by the sounds of it?

Can anyone on the wings turn it around? Well, nobody saw £100k Betty coming until she took to the chair. And back then, we were seeing much worse offers being taken than those recently (although today's was probably the worst statistically of those :unsure )
Round 4

Noel asks how she's choosing the numbers, and she says it's her PIN number for her bank account, but it has nothing in it.

14 - Ammarah - £10,000

15 - Paul - £3,000

Noel says he'll have a word with the adjudicator and get some blues for Paul tomorrow, and he calls a break...
Well well well, "boxes selected at random blah blah", the phrase "many a true word said in jest", springs to mind

The Banker definitely got the player cheap, but crikey did he have to throw in the three-box hypothetical for the maximum probability of a guilt trip?!? Anyone would think he couldn't bear to let that look like an OPW, when at that point there was still a 1/6 chance of just that happening!

Nearly did, too... ultimately, a fair result. The Banker deserved his victory, but squandered any right to be smug about it with that hypo-lie, and a four-figure profit on the box for him is about right.

Personally I think Ashlea was right to take the 5 box offer, Yes, you can argue that it was a couple of grand under what it might have been for the configuration but at the same time she would have had to kept the top one in play to get a higher offer and for her that clearly wasn't a gamble worth taking.

And of course if she'd won £10 we'd no doubt be hailing it as a victory.

Bharti got a 21k OPW just two days ago. Too bad that they ruined it somewhat by performing a hypo-swap which she said she would have declined....

As much as the offers were terrible today (apart from the one in proveout at 2-box which was far more generous than the one she took at 5-box), the banker read Ashlea perfectly. Single mum, relatively low paid job with the NHS, can't afford a new car - no point offering anywhere near the £20k that I would have wanted at 5-box to think about dealing.

The £20k/£250k finish has enough history of £90k-£100k offers that £101k was just about in the realms of reality but thank goodness she found the £250k in the nick of time.
