Didn't someone play on and horribly regret it on a similar board, with a similar offer, in late December 2008? Sandra? *looks up* Sandie. Yes. £14,000, after which she took out those three.

At least he hit the blue first!!

Suddenly this board has become utterly unstable. That changed fast. I'd want £7,500 I think. Needless to say, we get £NO_DEAL, as the banker-producer makes his intentions alarmingly clear.

Ian says that's a lot of money. His girlfriend says he should keep going. He asks for the question and she then shouts "NO!". She then discusses with Ian which boxes to keep, and Ian wants to keep box 4, and she says he should leave box 9 as it's the date they got together. Ian jokes that's an unlucky day, and she jokes that he's dumped, and the banker phones and asks when she's free.

Ian's about to answer the question when the banker phones back and says Ian can open one more box before the next offer, but that box has to be box 4. Noel explains he's not getting an offer after every box, just an offer after the next box if it's box 4.

Ian says

NO DEAL

Round 6 (part one)

If I trusted the integrity of this game one iota, I'd gamble here.

I'd still play on here, but I'd be thoroughly expecting to leave with a blue.

PHEW!!

I can't remember the last time I was so pleased to see a blue.

Nice little twist by the banker there actually.

Wonder if he gets something worthwhile now.

Meh. £7,000 is probably just enough to take.

LOL @ Noel saying the banker has a mathematical form-u-lee.

Ian wonders if he'd go to half the average and Noel says the banker uses some benchmarks but he could go anywhere really.

Ian says

Time for the lies...

Yup. £31,000 no chance. You only have to look at the previous few offers.

Box 14 with Lois contains the £100,000

Noel gets his girlfriend to say sorry. Ian says he wanted to crack a joke, but he needs the banker to ring to do it, and the banker doesn't ring!

I wondered when I'd celebrate a blue being revealed as enthusiastically as the 10p earlier.

Didn't wait long. What a horrendous guilt-trip to place on the young couple, and what a pleasure to see it go the other way. That would have been desperately uncomfortable television if the £100,000 was revealed - the new Donna?

That proveout offer actually seemed believable to me...still no sign of any great wins...I hope September can end soon so we can prepare for better games
