That was one of the games I'd really been looking forward to, and I though it was goin g to be one of those games that peaks too early and ends up being a slow trainwreck, but the 5th round didn't half transform things, and he got rewarded with a great offer for the round, and even big gamblers should have been thinking of dealing that! OK, you can argue that he had 4 reds v 1 blue, but when only one os much higher than the offer, and only one is close to it, the two oranges are a huge drop from £18.5k!

Trust him to hit the 10% chance but at least the £100k wasn't at the table (and there was no hypo-swap too!!)

I guess this is where I'm a dealer at heart becuase I found Beryl's ending way more painful than Tom's even though Tom did actually miss out on more money than she did!!

Absolutely nothing wrong with the deal. Adam was probably right that only the finish that Tom ended up with was going to be significantly more - I could even see the £100k/orange finish being Old Faithful (and even if you factor it as being £30k-£35k, the EV of the 2 box offer wasn't going to more than the offer) - just horrible luck to hit the 10% chance.

Once, they actually ventured outside of the studio compound to ask a lady on her bike whether she would deal or no deal, which was really bizarre!

Anyway, it was a justifiable decision from Tom, the offer was cleverly pitched and despite there being 4 reds to 1 blue, the upside potential didn't appear that great, unlucky he ended up with the only finish where there was significant regret.

In other news, I'm off to Bristol tomorrow for the Halloween specials after a last-minute cancellation, can't wait!
