Some of the difference could be explained by the fact Simone hit the £250,000 in the fifth round while Colin would merely have lost a safety net, but certainly not all.

For what it's worth, £22,000 seems a much more sensible offer than £15,500 on blue/£75,000 to me. Anything much higher and he's overpaying for the box, though.

As well as punishment offers (Simone hitting £250k in the last round and Colin having a decent round had he played on), not sure if this is my imagination but I feel the Banker seems to be placing more importance on low blues compared to high blues at the end of the game.

He perhaps thinks people are much more scared of leaving with 1p or £1 than with a few hundred and reduces the offers accordingly, not sure if that's a good assumption or not?

I'm not sure that's right - Lofty was given a hypothetical offer of £22,000 (same as Colin) for a 50p/£75,000 final two. I'd be surprised if that were the case - surely "blue" is bad enough for most people, and which one it is makes little difference? To be honest, I think I'd rather "win" a low blue than a high one.

I'd agree with that if the red was a big one, if you throw away tens of thousands then 1p or £750 doesn't really make that much difference.

Low red vs. low blue may be a "cut your losses" moment, the life-changing money has gone so you choose to walk with something of value, but low red vs. high blue is a stone cold no-deal unless you are offered over the mean.

Don't think I agree - I'd be just as likely to No Deal a 1p/£5,000 final two as I would with £750/£5,000. But it's entirely possible the players/banker could be taking your approach.

I'd probably go for all or nothing with £5,000 as the best amount remaining. But I know a lot wouldn't, Jason even dealt in a blue-blue finish recently because he just didn't want to go home with 1p.

Colin's box only has £250 in it. :D

YEAH RIGHT - NO WAY would the offer have been anywhere NEAR that amount if he had carried on, mind you, I very much doubt that had he NOT dealt at £10K that Colin would have chosen STEVIE for his first box after the offer.

Well done Colin, I reckon you dealth just at the right time.

Haha, there hasn't been the big amount in 3 for ages now! Seems like their saving a lot of money by putting the lower amounts in 3 as it is the number that most people like (note the rubbish song, 3 is the magic number) and in 1p Nick's game, Gerry said "3's my favorite number so you should have left it over here im sorry"

That song is not rubbish. Although I do agree that too many people pick '3' as opposed to other numbers.
