Heyyyyy Everybody
thank you all for the warm words and the good analysis...

i really enjoyed the game...

my feeling at the beginning was - i want a good start and a game that i can play and a game that brings the best out of me.

well the start was not the best but then it just improved till the last 5.....

i wanted to project my character which is positive and decisive and yes those who said i was calculating the odds and the offers are right. well done.

The faith only gves you the courage to go beyond your boundaries. And that is possibly one of the biggest reasons for me not accepting the 51K offer.

For sure I would have liked to have had one of the other reds with the 250K in the final....
i nearly asked the banker to match Corrine's figure of 88K - I was reading the offer at 83K because I had said no to much higher figure than Caine....

However at 77K, the head definitely kicked in - had to accept.

As a matter of fact - on my deep-total-faith moments/days - i would have gone on(1in 10 times) and actually not have swapped and would have had the total belief that the box i had chosen was the one for me!!!

anyways
77K - MASSSSSSIVE - some has and will go to some charities (started with haiti and chile earthquakes and a couple of local charities....); paid off some debts and man will be good to go on some holidays and just say DEAL - I want that.....

also my sincere thanks to my fellow dealers - love you all; to the pilgrims esp Lynn..., and especially to Noel, Mr Banker and the fabulous fabulous DOND staff. THANK YOU. LOVE YOU ALLL.

Thank you all.
will write some more later

Well done. To no deal £51k takes a special type of person. I think bartering the offer may not have been a good idea so perhaps best that you decided not to.

I agree Simon F
my feeling was he might have said no to my try of 8 or 88k and reduced his 7 or 77k to 6 or 66k (666 the devil)
but it underlines the thought processes that were occurring whilst i was playing the game - trying to just be positive and foccused....
thank you all for fab thoughts and words...

Not many I don't think, if any would have no dealt £51,000. But you came across as a very positive person, the be devil may care type of approach which does tend to un-nerve the Banker somewhat. A shame your positive attitude didn't rub off on Spiro yesterday. (Who oddly enough also had box 13 but with a totally different result).

But again, congratulations and hope you are enjoying your good fortune. :D

Do you think that small God statue you placed on your box had played a part in it? :-D ;)

Phil.

Thanks
right about the positive attitude - it does unnerve the banker and ups the deals...
u cannot let him know that u r paddling like mad under the surface to stay afloat...
also it helps to pay complete attention and respect to Noel - Mr Pro - so coo and so good....
I also think there was an element of huge risk at 51K - but that OHO moment...
As for Lord Ganesh and the prayers... at least i think that he did give me the inner stength and the belief to go beyond the limits that i may not have otherwise..
(the Deal Press released the prayer time to the Sun - so made the tabloids on the day)
had i had complete faith then of course he was sat on the 250K all the time and i think 1 out of 10 times i might hva egone all the way with the 13...
ta again
care pal

Firstly, congratulations Ramesh - not many players have ever scared the Banker (or viewers!) quite as much as you, and not many ever will. It was certainly exciting for such a player to have such a board!!

One question. You mention how it was your faith that caused you to play more aggressively, to the point of even considering the final gamble, and you mention 'the courage to go beyond your boundaries'. Does that mean the £51k was in fact a boundary, and how would you have felt if you had instead - and I know this was impossible as it turned out, but it was a 10% chance at the time of the gamble as you must have known with your knowledge of mathematics - taken out all three reds for a £7 final offer? How did you feel after the £100,000 went and that chance suddenly became 33.33..%?

I know i would have gone on further at 51K....
the slight hesitation and the prayers were coz I have seen the board turn sour v quickly...
somehow i really never doubted that my box would have the 250K - the only thing was both my wife and i thought it would be box 4...
(remember some guy - name escapes me - in Dec 09 after dealing what seemed too early got rid of the top 4reds in order From 250k to 50k...)
But in general i think faith does extend your boundaries
