What is it with the sudden swings of luck that have been evident in games lately?!

The Banker says that is irritating, but he loves to see a daughter crying over not being able to help her mum!

Banker's offer:

£1,000

Pretty weak offer considering £100 is there as back-up. If the 1p was the back-up, then yes, it'd be a good offer.

Ronnie tells Caz that she can do a lot with £1,000, and it would be a risk to play on... The Banker calls back and asks if Caz would like to play Double or Nothing!

If Caz plays on and finds the £3,000 he will double it to £6,000! If she finds the £100, then she goes home with nothing!

Caz says that 80% of her wants to play on and take the gamble.

Caz says

NO DEAL

Oh, so this is an effective £1,000 offer on a £0 vs £6,000 final 2 then!

Caz is now playing Double or Nothing

The Banker calls back and says in the last 4 years he has only offered this twice and both times the player has gone home with nothing!

Banker offers the SWAP

Caz says

NO SWAP

The banker said he's only offered "double or nothing" twice, and both players have gone home with nothing. But what about the girl called Kerry (I think) who won £15,000 when she was offered "double or nothing"?

I think she was just offered "All or Nothing" because the other sum was £750 and the Banker thought that would be too much of a consolation. (Kerry had dealt at a previous sum.)

She wasnt playing Double or Nothing. She dealt £900 and could have had nothing or £15,000. They called it "All or Nothing" I think!

She was offered a very similar 'All or Nothing' where she gave back the £900 she dealt and would have won nothing if it was the blue, but win the £15,000 if it was that amount inside her box.

Anyway, Noel was right when he said Caz is unfortunately the 3rd player to go home with nothing. :( The other two being Daimon (who replaced me on the wings!) and Lee from last autumn.

What a horrible game that was. Looked so promising halfway through, but it just fell down in the last part (like yesterday's game). It was made worse by the fact that Caz was visibly so upset by it. :(

Cruel. So cruel. Sorry Caz. :(

Should never deal double or nothing. Why the Banker proposed that in not even a one box game is beyond me.

Phil.

Oh right, I thought it was Double or Nothing. So I suppose Kerry's was effectively the banker's gamble, with the lower value replaced by £0.

I'll probably be attacked for saying this but I'm pleased that was the blue - I didn't want to see the gimmick pay off.

Having said that 1K was dealable on £100 vs 3K for a cautious player.
