That was painful to watch. :(

She seemed like such a nice lady, yet her game just kept getting worse. She took it very well considering. On the bright side, at least she won't have any regrets about turning down any big offers...

Box 3 creates another 1p winner. It has been responsible for Nick (via a swap), Sally, Margaret, Rod and now Aurora ending up in the 1p club.

Been watching the show again for quite a while, thought I'd post again as we're leading up to Trick or Treat week. What a game to come back on, though.

This game is the sort of thing that players should keep in mind when it is their turn. Consider offers carefully, as things can go wrong, but also take charge, as one turnaround, and he's the one in trouble after making poor offers. But, it didn't happen here.

There's nothing that Aurora could have done in that game, and she handled it with remarkable dignity. Funny that Noel thought Aurora should perk up a bit after the first break to get higher offers. I don't think she could have done much other than cartwheels and handstands to try and pick things up, the offers couldn't have been much higher. Almost everyone in the same situation would have won 1p today.

Let's hope that bright lights return for this week coming.

Aurora's game proved to be as ill-fated as her namesake's Cruise Liner was in its voyages. Just a completely unavoidable trainwreck, and I felt it needed a good board to bring out Aurora's character a bit more, she was a bit quiet, and as the game continued to crash, it made for painful viewing.

Even the last round managed to be especially cruel as she discovered the red last, and £2,500 would've been a nice consolation for her. These games are a shame when the player has no decisions to make, no opportunity of a reasonable get-out. Like friday the highest offer was the first.

Absolutely gutted!

We need all sorts of circumstances for us to pick ourselves up from this devastating game...so bring on the special shows!

Dear me, what is going wrong with Season 5

So much hope and here we are at another Halloween week, dam near rock bottom in terms of luck :(

Surely the bad luck will come to an end during this week, but how many times have we hoped for a good week in Season 5 only to see it all go horribly wrong?

Banker will REALLY be fancying his chances in this Halloween week with the way Season 5 has gone

Unlucky Aurora on the 1p, much undeserved :(

Positive thoughts, players, he is not unbeatable but I have a feeling he will be a tad unbearable this week

Well as I said the other day, we have a long two-year winning streak with the TREAT twist...no TRICKs as of yet!

Well, Halloween week is gonna be where I'm expecting contestants to get revenge on The Banker, so bring on tomorrow!

Listening to Noel's interview on the Radio 4 show (in which Marie and Cal were also interviewed), it seemed as if he couldn't figure out why only 2 people had won £250k yet there were 23 members of the 1p club. Well, games like this prove why that is - usually when 250k stays in the game for a long time, the contestant usually has at least a few decisions to make!

Didn't see the show but can imagine how gutted everyone would have felt at the end - I saw the end of Olivia's game recently and she had the same final 2! Let's hope the Halloween shows can pick things up - it certainly seems unlikely we'll be dwelling on the past couple of games tomorrow, with the prospect of the studio looking completely unrecognisable bar the board!

A real shame. Commiserations, Aurora. But she did wear that look of defeat after 11 box in my opinion. Member 24 of the 1p club. :smt009

Let's hope that Trick or Treat week will provide for some high winnings, banker spankings plus entertainment included. I for one will be watching.

Phil.

That was the most empty and depressed I've felt at the end of a game since Joy. Not much else to say really, at least with this one there wasn't the chance of a big win if the banker got it wrong, unlike, say, Marie's game last week. :(

Bit of an exaggeration there. Yes the 8 box offer could have been 2K more but not much more could have been done. More inevitable/continually frustrating than depressing.

It was more to do with the contestant playing rather than anything else Alex!

Nothing more to add to the other comments, poor Aurora seemed like a lovely lady, so sad. :smt009

Yeah, sorry haven't been paying that much attention recently. I suppose she was a bit upset.

I think even Michael might have won 1p today.

That says it all.
