Excellent game there, proves that losing the big ones doesn't ruin the game.

I think that's probably my favourite game so far :)

really cracking show - the banker's last two offers made it relatively easy for him to decide what to do but still a great final round!

having a good audience really seems to help in a bizarre way.

I Wonder if Nick sits at home praying for someone else to enter his club.

I think he likes it in his own little club

trust me nick is no longer an exclusive member

Isn't this sort of information classified CIA style?

I think N.E. may already have spilled the beans on this one (on his Radio 2 interview with Jonathan Ross a few weeks back)

maybe dudeflame could run a "guess the next 1p winner" game?

The presence of a 1p winner shouldn't be that surprising. One in 22 will have it in their box, and of those I reckon about one in four would go all the way (mostly through having rubbish offers or a train wreck board, possibly through taking stupid risks). I'm assuming here that swapping the box doesn't change the probabilities on the grounds that for every player who swaps for a penny a lá Nick there will be one who swaps a penny for something better.

That would imply a 1p winner every 88 episodes. We've had 97 so far and we must have been well past Episode 100 in the recording schedule when Noel gave his interview. So yeah, I'll well believe a 1p win could be coming. I'm just not looking forward to second-guessing when it'll be.

Mmm - that board was nigh-identical to the board at the same stage back in the very first episode, and the offer then was £4,200 (which I'd definitely have taken).

^^
You are right about the similarities of the board. I didn't think we would see anymore no-dealing at that point with only one decent amount left given the disasters that the players have seen in the meantime.
But, eat my words, great no deal by Okiem, and the best final round ever.

I really enjoyed today's game! I was worried he'd no deal and play on to find the £35,000, but thank goodness he didn't! No malted bedtime drink prezzie for Mr Banker today though!

:D
