Lofty hands Noel the cloth that he has had on the table all throughout the game.

Noel holds it up and it's a babies T-Shirt that says 'My dad beat the banker' :-D

That was great, I loved the emotional drama of it which is what makes this show so addictive. Smart deal to get £18,000 when you could have walked away with 50p! :-D So many people have turned down that kind of offer when they really need the money and regretted it.

Shame that he didn't *actually* beat the banker but he won the right money for him. Congrats to him.

Typical - the ones who play to the end go away with a load of rubbish, and when someone plays it safe, it turns out to have been the wrong decision. But at least he had the 50p, and I doubt the offers would have been that high if he'd still be playing. So glad he and his girlfriend got what they wanted!

That was a great game. It proves that even though you might deal too soon the game is not over - that was great tension and drama at the end there.

He did the right deal for him at the time. He may be annoyed that he dealt 2 deals too soon but he still got a deposit for a house out of it. There are alot of people who've been on the show recently who didn't come away with anything close to that amount.

I'm sad Lofty has gone now, as he was one of my favourite players.

That was a brilliant game, like Noel said I'm going to remember it for ages. Lofty seemed really nice, and well done to him for getting £18,000! :D

I have to say not my favourite game - early deals are not as tense somehow - but I'm really pleased for Lofty, its a great amount to win. Well done!

Shame I missed this game due to an exam. I have conflicting reports about what Suzanne had. Bother's Bar say she had 20, you say she had box 4. Who is right?

She had box 4 and also opened James' box 22 (he was ill). Fran had box 20.

She had both. James would have had 20, but he was ill so she opened it. Her "proper" box was 4.

(Hah, not only was I beaten to it, but I was wrong!)

Well - they decided to deal when they had an amount that was right for them.

Kudos to Lofty for thinking about his family and their future before playing on. If it was right for him then it was a fantastic deal.

I felt bad for the amount his girlfriend was feeling the pressure, she was almost crying right from the beginning !!

At least he beat the banker !! :-D :-D :-D

He was really lovely too !! :D

Hey there!

This is my first ever post on a forum...! Although I do admit to being a lurker! You guys all seem really friendly and its nice to see so many positive comments.
Anyway........What has inspired me to write my first post? LOFTYS GAME! Just wanted to say well done to him for being brave enough to accept the amount of money he needed,..Thats what matters at the end of the day, you never know what happens if you carry on, good or bad it can go either way but you mustn't have regrets,

:smt041
COME ON LOFTY....!!!

An absolute rollercoaster of a game. Fantastic start, great that he dealt at offer that was right for them, then it quickly descended into 'look at what you could have won' territory (a la Bullseye!) before the crowning glory of only having the 50p in his box.

Top bloke - good luck to him and his young lady for the future.

I think he made the right choice, even if he could have won more. He got his priorities right, which is far more important
