The Banker calls back and asks if the decision would be easier if it was £6,5000 + laptop! Matt asks what sort of laptop The Banker toys with Matt for a bit and then says tough it is still £6,500!

Matt gets lots of advice from the wings, and Matt ends it with saying that he woke up thinking today would be a big money day. Noel tells him now is the big Matt moment and then gives both sides of the argument to deal and also to play on.

Well if it has Vista, I hope it has at least 2 or 3Gb of RAM otherwise the banker really is evil.

Tough luck for Matt. Never had an offer that I thought was remotely dealable. The only positive I can dervive (and it won't help Matt) is that we may be spared the Banana Sandwich posts today.

A laptop is 'some consolation'?! Depending on what kind of laptop he gets, he could have £1,500's worth of equipment there just given to him! More than some consolation, methinks, the lucky bugger!

I'm sorry it didn't work out for Matt, he again was someone who took a fairly calculated risk and didn't see it pay off. Shame

didn't miss much today. Any non monetary handout worth over 1K seems quite generous.

I'd been looking forward to Matt's game - he certainly gave it some energy - just a shame he didn't get the luck.

Matt was a great contestant , just a shame about the result although the laptop is a really good consolation.
We've seen more generous offers with 5 box boards that have 100K and no red backup, so
the no deal was understandable.

So far, the only OPW we've get this month was at the 3rd offer, the luck needs to come back now, fast!

What a shame for Matt, he had the guts to go for it and it didn't work out

I imagine the banker's wallet is too full to close this week so he offered him the laptop to ease it
